Pyra and I clashed massively on most things socially and politically funnily enough,we were both quite dogmatic with our views
She was probably one of the friendliest posters in the forum to new members.
We had some great debates, and I miss her.

She was a diamond. Smart, witty and unreverentially passionate. However, and this is the important part - the craic on the discussion boards was only ever that for Mids; she never judged someone by their opinions. She could disagree fundamentally with you and she was like a dog with a bone. But she had a heart of gold and she'd do anything for you.

I appreciate that, but opinions are something that will never please everyone (as we're witnessing right now since I'm replying to this haha) and I think that a mod should still be able to express their views as long as they are of course sticking to the rules of the forum. I think for the most part the forum works very well with moderators and members sort of being on a similar level. Well, Infractions are given from an anonymous staff account but everyone knows who the mods are, that's not our choice, it's just the way it's always been. tbh most people on the forum don't have a problem with it, I think most people here can still have a laugh with us as easy as they would with any other member but like I said, that's the way it is, it's not our choice but we all seem to manage just fine
