Oh yes, he may have wished a sex offender well but it's okay because she isn't convicted of it yet, let's just forget the mountain of evidence against her because Trump can't do anything wrong.

Ghislaine Maxwell loses 'extraordinary' last-minute appeal to stop release of 'embarrassing' confidential documents...
Ghislaine Maxwell has lost a desperate last-minute appeal to stop “embarrassing” confidential documents from being released. US District Judge Loretta Preska confirmed her ruling that the files must be unsealed and released to the public, despite Ms Maxwell’s lawyers' “extraordinary request” for her to reconsider. The British socialite, 58, had tried to argue that the government wrongfully used depositions filed in her civil lawsuit to bring criminal charges. She is currently answering a number of suits brought by victims of associate Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier found dead in his prison cell last year. Her lawyers charged on Wednesday that prosecutors in a separate criminal case used confidential depositions she made in 2016 in the civil case that is now being consideration by Judge Preska. The defamation suit was filed in 2015 by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who alleges she was abused by Epstein and pimped out to powerful figures including Prince Andrew, and confidentially settled in 2017. The Duke of York has denied all allegations. The depositions are Ms Maxwell’s only on-the-record account of her association with Epstein and his sex-trafficking ring. Her attorneys argue it was given under an expectation of confidentiality that had been agreed to by both sides in the dispute. Transcripts of the depositions were designated “confidential” and subject to a "Protective Order". However, they came to be in the hands of the US government, which used statements made by the heiress to charge her with perjury in an indictment filed last month. Parts of it were unsealed by a judge last year. In an April 2016 interview with Ms Giuffre’s lawyers, Ms Maxwell was asked: “Did Jeffrey Epstein have a scheme to recruit underage girls for sexual massages?” To which she answered: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” During another deposition in July of the same year, Ms Maxwell said: “I wasn’t aware that he was having sexual activities with anyone when I was with him other than myself.” Prosecutors at the Southern District of New York claim she was lying when she said she was not to be aware of Epstein’s assaults on women and underage girls. “This is a serious violation of the Protective Order, and merits the commencement of contempt proceedings,” Ms Maxwell’s lawyers argued in documents filed at a Manhattan court on Wednesday. They accused Ms Giuffre of leaking the deposition, and "in conjunction with the government" setting a "perjury trap" for their client, whose six criminal counts include two for perjury. Ms Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. They also tried to claim that the trove of documents - which could expose fresh details about Ms Maxwell's sex life as well as her relation to powerful figures accused of taking part in the abuse of the late millionaire's victims - would result in “substantial negative media publicity and speculation in an internet world." Judge Preska ordered that the release of documents relating to Ms Maxwell's deposition should be pushed back to Monday to give her legal team time to argue their case before the Court of Appeal. All other material in question should be unsealed, as planned, on Thursday. Legal experts said there was little precedent for the judge to rely on due to the complex interweaving of Ms Maxwell’s civil and criminal suits.

Ghislaine Maxwell: court unseals documents related to dealings with Epstein...
A cache of documents in civil litigation against the British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was unsealed on Thursday night, including early 2015 correspondence with her longtime confidant Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender. “You have done nothing wrong and i woudl [sic] urge you to start acting like it,” Epstein wrote in a 25 January 2015 email to Maxwell. “go outside, head high, not as an esacping[sic] convict. go to parties. deal with it.” The exchange followed a request from Maxwell, who was romantically linked to Epstein, to be distanced from his dating life. “I would appreciate it if shelley would come out and say she was your g’friend - I think she was from end 99 to 2002,” she had written the day before. Related: 'The hotspot of a hotspot of a hotspot': coronavirus takes heavy toll in south Texas Federal authorities arrested Maxwell on 2 July and charged her for allegedly participating in Epstein’s sex trafficking. Maxwell, daughter of the late publishing baron Robert Maxwell, pleaded not guilty on 14 July. She is being held in jail pending trial, which is scheduled for next July. Maxwell’s attorneys in the civil suit had argued to keep these records under seal, maintaining previously that “this series of pleadings concerns [attempts] to compel Ms Maxwell to answer intrusive questions about her sex life”. The documents, they argued, are “extremely personal, confidential and subject to considerable abuse by the media”. Manhattan federal court judge Loretta Preska ruled on 23 July to unseal them, however, saying: “The court finds that the countervailing interests identified fail to rebut the presumption of public access.” Documents involving Maxwell’s deposition have not been released yet, as her lawyers are appealing their unsealing. The documents in question stem from Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 civil action against Maxwell. Giuffre has claimed that Maxwell lured her into Epstein’s orbit at 15 years old, under the guise of offering work as a masseuse. Maxwell met Giuffre at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in south Florida, where the then teen was working as a locker-room attendant. In this suit, which has since been settled, Giuffre claimed that Maxwell had defamed her, by stating that she was a liar for accusing Epstein and Maxwell of sexual impropriety. An extensive collection of documents in this suit was also unsealed last August. They featured both bombshell claims, and denials that world leaders participated in Epstein’s sex ring. These filings were disclosed shortly after Epstein’s arrest last July. Epstein killed himself in jail last August. https://uk.yahoo.com/news/ghislaine-...013941868.html

Am actually quite surprised she hasn't managed to 'off herself' yet. Mind, she might not know as much as he did, so no need for her to mysteriously die while on suicide watch...

While I have no sympathy for her, she should at least be 'safe' with prison personnel so this is unacceptable

...I read about this 4th accuser and the other indictment a few days ago...all of the reports that I saw had something additional added about the dates/time framing and an additional name mentioned...which now seems to have been removed from all articles...so that’s interesting...
US prosecutors file new indictment against Ghislaine Maxwell that includes a new, 4th accuser who was a minor... US prosecutors filed a superseding indictment with additional sex-trafficking charges against Ghislaine Maxwell on Monday and included a fourth accuser who was a minor at the time cited in the allegations. The original indictment served against Maxwell in June included the testimonies of three accusers. The latest accuser in the case notably expands the scope of involvement Maxwell is accused of having with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 while awaiting trial on charges tied to allegations that he conducted the sex trafficking of dozens of girls, but some of Epstein's accusers have alleged Maxwell helped procure and groom the young girls to sleep with men in Epstein's circle. Maxwell was arrested in July and charged with a number of counts tied to allegations of trafficking minors with Epstein between 1994 and 1997. But the new indictment from prosecutors accused her of grooming minors until as late as 2004. ...full article as of now... https://uk.news.yahoo.com/us-prosecu...213742920.html

I agree. Its easy to shrug it off as karma or something, but really, it should not ever happen, to anyone, even the worlds worst. We don't punish people by letting them be assaulted. People should be as 'safe' as possible in jails really.
