A feel sorry for Joe, i was against Rage being #1 simply because i dont like that music not because I wanted Joe to be #1 necessarily.
He's the only XF winner not to be... i think... steve got #1 didnt he?? Not for christmas though.

Well I've just heard it, and what a **** result. This is by far the worst Christmas #1 of the entire decade, but quite a fitting end to it I suppose.

Feel sorry for Joe though. But this whole campaign has been pathetic, quite frankly.

Steve got #1 a week later because Simon couldn't put it against Band Aid, thats just morally wrong

Joe will get #1 next week anyway

I really liked Hallelujah

But at least the other 3 songs were coherent even though they were awful

It's also the first song to get to Christmas No.1 on downloads alone.

Congrats and well done to the Rage campaign. I would rather have had a Christmas song get it but any change from The X Factor is welcome.

I do feel somewhat bad for Joe, but it's important to remember that the campaign was against The X Factor and not Joe.

The whole campaign has just been fucking pathetic though. Who gives a **** if XF get it every year? The majority of them can sing well, might not be proper musicians but still, they're better than the likes of Bob the Builder etc.

Well done to them though, I never thought they'd do it and it was a good battle.

Well what defines a 'proper' musician anyway? its only pathetic music snobs that care. Music is music and if it sounds good it sounds good. If people like it they'll buy it, if it sounds rubbish it won't sell.

Its also hilarious that we haven't had a 'proper' #1, as though its always been someone respected who gets it. Mr Blobby anyone?

A lot more people would rather listen to that than another karaoke X Factor winner singing a boring song.

I love this. All these bitter Joe fans. Nothing you say will get "his" no.1 back.
