it's a very high responce too, around 200 voters so far so it's obviously a very important issue for people!

Exactly pyramid! Normal, everyday people would not spend that kind of money on birthday presents. Aaron is behaving how any of us would but is getting slated for it

Yep - given the amount of responses as you say FC, it's something that is important.

When the push comes to shove: people don't like back stabbers - and I have to say: it's quite heartening to see the poll going the way it is going.

And yep Niahm, I can say that with one exception only in my life - it's pretty normal to not spend that kind of money on one gift for a person you've only known 2 months - unless of course, you have millions in the bank. Far as I'm aware: most of us on here (and in the house) ...don't.

Kinda restored a wee bit of my faith seeing the poll going the way it is tbh.

Aaron has £990, he doesn't know whether or not Alex or Jay will stick to the agreement, I'd be pretty doubtful about it if I were him and even if does have £10000 why would he want to give hundreds of it away to relative strangers when he could be spending it on his son and his family?

But they haven't got it. That's the point.

Jay and Louise have shown that their word is not their bond.

if they could break a group agreement for the sake of £500.... you don't think they will break their agreement when it comes to £000's!!

Come on MTVN...surely you can see why it puts them in a very dubious light as far as them sticking to verbal group agreements is concerned.

Louise couldn't wait to tell Alex and Tom how much those presents cost. She came across as vulgar. Is she so obsessed with Jay that she cannot think for herself any more? 'I'm not shady me' - well you were last night love. As for Jay - he completely misunderstood Aaron when he told him 'you are still real though' in response to Jay saying 'It's not real in here'.

With Aaron 100% of the way - as are most of the general public.

I totally agreed with Aaron lastnight, that was far to much money to spend on someone, that you have only known for 8 weeks.

Jay & Louise only did this for the cameras, also they Louise kept going on about the cost, was out of order.

And that's not in any way a sweeping assumption, you think? What do you base this on?

I'm on Aaron's side as I have been in a similar postion. Only it was we promised to only spend a £30 on a gift for a friend and a few of my friends went behind my back and spent over £100 each on this other friend and I know its not about how much you spend but you kinda look like a miser and a scrooge when someone does this!!! So I can kinda see where Aaron is coming from, However I didn't strop with the people or shouted about it I just felt a little upset. At the same time my situation wasn't in the BB house and I didn't only just know the person. I personally think Louise is the most sly one in this situation rather than Jay... the reason for this Jay didn't announce how much the presents were and does seem to be sorry about not clueing Aaron in on the change of mind!!!

The only thing Jay is sorry about is the fact that Aaron saw right through his and louise's 'presents for votes' scheme and stated so publicly for the viewers to hear.....The look on Jay's face said it all...when he realised how he and Louise would look to the public after Aaron's pointed it out to him.

Silly me.
Your thinking of BB in it's first few years when it was a Social experiment. Where "playing the game" as Nick Bateman did was seen as villany. Things have changed more is the pity imo.

We are all aware this year in particular folk defend Hm's actions not in the context of normal social situations, but by the notion "It's a game" Are you declaring you view BB as a Social Experiment or as a Game Show?

Anton tries to get Aaron out - his fans say so what it's a game
Aaron manipulates people to nom a certain way - so what it's a game

Before anyone can expect Jay to treat Aaron with Social grace's you need to ask does Jay think Aaron is "gaming" if Yes then there is no Social Obligation to inform Aaron of anything, if No then the Social Obligation stands imo. The reason i say that is the decision to say no, i viewed as a joint decision made by all three.

The problem with the whole concept of BB being viewed as a game show, is someone will justify a behavior that they like as simply being part of the game, and then criticize a behavior they don't like as a social/morale Rule Brake. Present-gate highlights, and nutshells this quite vividly imo.

it still is very much a social concept. Otherwise it would defeat the purpose of housemates living in such confined quarters, and placed in such dilemmas which challenge social norms and socially accepted behaviourss. Game or not, all of that still remains.

Can I just add that in no way did Aaron wreck the party

Alex and Tom werent even bothered about Aaron being off on his own, and I would think Jays big blowup in FRONT of them caused more of an atmosphere than Aaron having a little sulk in another room.

Also what the HLs failed to show was Aaron getting involved in the party, having a dance, and having fun.

How right you are. How embarrassing for Alex and Tom - so much for Jay not wanting to ruin their birthday (as he said in the bedroom earlier on - didn't he say, "I'll tell yaaz the morra like, i'll not ruin yaar biifffday like"

typical hypocritical Jay though: says one thing, does another. he's been like that for weeks....no change there then eh!

Aaron, 'If you two want to, carry on, you take the glory"

He actually gives them the go ahead and makes it extremely clear he doesn't want to get involved.

I have no idea why Aaronites are making out that it was then somehow sneaky of Jay and Lou to do exactly what he told them to do.

It is all just so clear, and yet it's still twisted and rationalised by the 'faithfull'.
