I wasn't even talking about who does the most Modding or anything though, all I said was that the Mods who are regularly online atm are posting across different forum sections, none of us post purely in the Admin section

Why? You can't have everything handed to you on a silver platter.

Having healthy debates and actually convincing the mods why it would be a good idea is how it SHOULD be done, that's the only way change will happen.

Maybe not now, but some did in the past. You guys have to understand what these members are saying. It seems a little hypocritical saying that their C & G posts cannot count yet the admin chat thread is allowed to count regardless of how little or lots you use it.

Honestly, do you not see the hypocrisy there?

Like I said I don't care. I liked the post count in there, I also think posts in C & G should count but if they don't then fine.

That's not relevant to what I was saying though. I was simply making the point that you wouldn't necessarily notice Mods post counts going up who aren't posting elsewhere because it's not really the case that any Mods are only posting in the Admin section and not anywhere else on the board

I also really couldn't care less about post counts, I find a high post count more of an embarrassment than something to be proud of and would be quite happy for them not to count in the Towers

It's probably just fine the way it is really. No need to scrap post counts and no need for them to count in chat and games. I think this has only become a big issue because we're well into off-season and there's **** all else to talk about. One of the reason I prefer on-season is everyone concentrates on the BB section and it's complete carnage but that's what makes it good.

anyway my view is that c&g posts should not count because
a) most of it is nonsense
b) everyone's post counts would be ridiculously high, let them increase gradually it's better
c) we might not be allowed to spam anymore

Other than being curious about what my post count would be if C&G counted, I don't think there's any need for it to count. There are so many games that could rocket people's post counts up and it's not really indicative of how much time or thought they've put into their posts elsewhere. If something is more of a discussion then I think it should be in General Chat. I think Chat and Games should really just be for forum games (either Elimination types etc or +1/-1 types etc etc) and that way people's post counts don't go up for posting spammy messages. It's fine the way it is.

..I agree, I think they're fine as they are but I also wouldn't mind either if there were no post counts shown at all...I do understand that people don't want to lose their post counts, I don't either if others have them but if no one had them then I don't think we would even think about it, if that makes sense..I also don't think that high counts are intimidating because I've seen BB posters posting aggressively toward people like Niamh and other high count posters just as they post to everyone else so I just think that if they're goin g to be aggressive they will be, no matter who is in the thread posting...I also think that generally members are welcoming and don't feel..oh, we're 'elite' so we'll be hostile to new members or treat them differently/be hostile or whatever...the only time I've ever seen that is if a new member seems to be 'trolling'/themselves quite hostile and insulting..I'm not saying it's the right thing to respond in the same way but it's the only time I've ever seen anything like that...
