Honestly, I dont see how nukes and stuff stop anything. Everyone knows we would be suicidal to start a nuclear war..so I just don't get it :S

I understand your point Vicky. It is basically a deterrent and as pricey as it is it is a needed deterrent.

So we'll spend 100bn on what is essentially a sign to plop on your front garden telling people "Bugger off! We won't do anything about you but leave us alone!!"

That is the most illogical pro-trident argument I have heard so far, but at least you admit we will never use it.

Clegg wasn't invited so Cameron wasn't effectively empty chaired. The broadcasters pandered to David's pathetic demands

Ed Miliband pissed me off the most tonight. Natalie & Nicola both did the best imo.

Ed seemed strong tonight, Nicola did very well again

Also loved the anti-Nigel audience and clapped at David demolishing his silly accusations of BBC bias

Overall though tonight has made me excited at the prospect of an actual progressive, left coalition. All I fear will stop that is the Tories having the most seats...

The Tories will be in power again thanks to Nige. You heard it hear first.

I thought Nigel had an opportunity to excel tonight and show he is not 1 dimensional. He didn't succeed, looked very weak I think

Oh and I also LOVED how any mention of David Cameron not being there was cheered and every time Farage brought up immigration as an excuse for everything as per there were sighs <3

Danny Alexander, what a waste of time interviewing him, I am amazed how many people think he is a Conservative not a Lib Dem MP.

Anyway, he is gone in May, even probably down to 3rd place in his seat in Inverness,Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, behind the SNP and Labour.

Personally I would do away with nukes and train up the army better with some of the savings, and invest more in weapons (not nukes...). Army is our only realistic way to fight. If a nuclear war is started, it matters not who has the bigger explosives...we all will die..and the leaders know that. So why the **** keep stuff that we can't even use.

These days nukes don't have to devastate, they can dial in the size of the explosion. We also have tactical nukes that are short range missiles designed for the battlefield

However a fullout nuclear war would wipe out the majority (if not all)of the world

I know its not a popular opinion I hold on this though, but I honestly do not see the point in paying so much money for stuff we can't/will never use.
