So what this means is we spew out the omicrom easier by coughing more, and sneezing. But the benefit off it is, the fact that it remains sticky in the passageways, to stop the big covid getting down to the bottom of the lung.

Your first 2 jabs made your body do this itself, so be brave, get another jab.

(In short, our bodies are causing omicrom as a defence against the covid. The injections gave it the clue)

Default Coronavirus Outbreak

Sky’s Beth was rather unprofessional earlier ( again) as she was smiling when reporting that Starmer had tested positive for Covid

I recall one of her older , grey haired , male colleagues smiling as he reported Boris had Covid last year .. a short while later he was in intensive care

Politicians are just sooooo predictable !

In response to being told that his boss, Starmer was positive again and was self isolating for the 6th time ... Stephen Morgan ( Labour MP) immediately had a go at Boris for being careless then said that Starmer followed the Covid rules rigidly !

6 isolations kinda suggests the opposite, surely ?

people are confusing things. A PCR test will indicate a positive for covid months after you have had it, but you are only infectious for a few days so it doesn't matter. The lateral flow test measures viral load and is very accurate at identifying when a person is infectious Someone could have caught covid a few days prior to that, but if they are not infectious they are no danger to anyone else. That is the purpose of a lateral flow test

Live In Parliament
a Labour MP told the PM
Covid Tests kits locked up in a Warehouse.

If that is true
it should be on a Front Page.

Not necessarily true, you can register negative PCR results within days of symptomatic recovery. You would have to in order to travel if, for example, you were abroad and caught Covid and had to self-isolate. You can't travel until you're tested negative multiple times (PCR). Most people it's a week or so max after symptoms end.

Here's a nice and currently reassuring graph, for anyone who is doubting the effectiveness of vaccines in preventing deaths. You can see quite clearly the dramatic difference between the pre-vaccine situation and now. I find it quite interesting that deaths still seem to be trending DOWNWARDS despite the staggering upturn in case numbers. Hopefully it won't be a different picture in a few weeks. If this wave peaks and comes back down with no major bumps on that red line... we'll have a pretty solid answer.

i think the covid deaths are predominantly legacy delta cases. I think it is a very real possibility that by the early summer we could be down to single figure or zero deaths. Maybe even sooner

Interesting..

So all the millions of LF tests being done on schools this week are worthwhile then ??

Sadly no ... these media people on telly clearly don’t care about the health of other people .. I don’t care for Starmer as a politician ( I don’t like politicians lol ) but I certainly care for his well being

Iirc that 'Liverpool pilot' was over a year ago now in 2020 and most studies more recently have shown LFTs are very accurate at identifying infection and are particularly accurate at showing positives when you are at your most infectious

On the face of it it’s comforting although ...

We have been using the exact same LF tests as we had in 2020 more than 18 months + ago

Only just very recently were we sent a different batch and as if yesterday I heard there weren’t enough to go around for today’s batch of testing

With the current shortages I’m pretty sure schools will simply use the older ones rather than not testing
