New rules to be implemented next year will force pornography sites to prove their visitors are over 18 by using age checkers.

The move by Theresa May's government is part of the recently-passed Digital Economy Act, the first sections of which were just laid out before MPs.

Sites which can be accessed in the UK will be required to install age verification systems by April 2018. This may involve sites asking people to enter credit card details, in order to prove they are over 18.

Their parents should do some actual ****ing parenting then and supervise them. There's enough programs and apps for parents to monitor and restrict what children can access on the internet, this is just an excuse to test what controls the government can get away with putting on the internet, they're just using parents' fears to blind them into agreeing with it.

Next will be surveillance measures that will be justified through liberal use of the word 'terrorism'. People are fools that will throw away their own rights without a second thought as soon as the government tells them a scary story. It's an insult to those that have died to give us our rights in the first place.

A good parent will limit an 8 year olds internet access so they cant. Forcing age verification checks isnt the answer to bad parenting.
