Grim. That means they're still alive but at that depth I think the chances of them being able to locate and reach them in time - or possibly ever - are very slim.
Would have been better off if it was a structural failure and they died instantly. |

BBC have stated 10am tomorrow to be when air is expected to run out.
This is the timing I’ve always been working to. No idea why the thought it was 40 hour at 8pm yesterday. |

realistically, there will be much less than 96 hours air. They weren't a professional outfit, it's unlikely they would have filled the oxygen to the max
If they were going to have any hope of rescuing them, they would need to have found them already, and even that would be a tall order |

It was said earlier that it's supposed to have safety measures that make it float to the surface if in trouble (assuming not trapped) but that raises a whole other question for me ... ... ...
If this is a possibility, why is there not; 1) The ability to open from the inside once at the surface 2) An inflatable life raft with GPS locator The reason it wouldn't be feasible to use GPS if it's sunk is that GPS doesn't work through deep water. It would work fine at or near the surface. The suggestion seems to basically be that they could be at the surface but ... still trapped inside? Only openable from the outside? Or perhaps, simply nowhere to go if they exit? |
