I know WWF messed up the Invasion angle for sure, it could've been so much better with bigger stars and a better overall storyline & conclusion for it, but I'll still take stuff like this in wrestling any day over the current stuff

This invasion was still so exciting to watch week after week. (obviously, the Attitude Era before this was incredible TV which is part of why I think this storyline didn't go over that well in comparison)

Random but even pretty simple things like: Stone Cold chasing Booker T through a supermarket etc. and things like that around this time period were ****ing priceless

(Not shading current WWE, I still like it to a lesser extent and the actual wrestling talent is probably at an all-time high)

I LOVED the Invasion storyline, thought it was amazing watching at the time. However now you realise it was all just a "WWE is better than WCW and ECW" in a glorified way. Basically tried to bury ever single non-WWE wrestler they'd signed, especially if they were "big stars" in WCW/ECW.

Thankfully the likes of RVD, Rhyno, Booker etc managed to withstand terrible booking and get over but other guys like Kanyon, Raven and especially DDP I felt were really tarnished. Goldberg a bit later on, too.
