GOOD MORNING Everyone , I can't believe it's that time of the year again. Only 6 days till Christmas wow .

I haven't kept up with this thread daily but I've caught up on all the contributions now and there's been some great messages and a lot of variety

Today I'm a bit hungover because I had a funeral yesterday for a close family friend. He was my neighbour most my life and I knew him then as my parents friend but when I got older he became one of my good friends as we went to festivals together, played cricket and darts, and both went to watch our local football team.

The guy loved to party and lived a great life but was only mid 60s. He was only diagnosed with cancer end of August and died 3 months later. Last Christmas no one had a thought that he wouldn't be here this year but that's what happened which I guess brings home the need to cherish every year that we have.

We gave him a great send off yesterday and despite the sadness actually having all friends and family under one roof drinking and laughing felt very Christmassy.

This will be my first year not having to work over Christmas and getting more than one day off so I'm very excited to clock off at the end of this week and start the eating and drinking

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and I'll leave you with a bit of Chris De Burgh as it's a great tune which doesn't get played enough
