I kinda didn't like the ending because it felt like a rushed conclusion to the love triangle. Like Collins didn't really have any solution other than to suddenly make Gale this heartless idiot who "accidentally" killed her sister. Overall I thought Gale and Peeta weren't really full characters at all...

Same, but I thought she should've resolved the seeming animosity between Katniss and Gale. I felt so sorry for Gale.

it was so sad how all of this only happened because she replaced prim in the games, and even after everything that happened, prim still ended up dead which makes everything seem even worse like it all happened for nothing

ik it had to happen or the games would have carried on as normal but katniss did it all from prim imo, she would have never volunteered for somebody else and without her the rebellion wouldnt have happened

I finished these last night. (The following contains spoilers)

I loved the end. At one stage I thought it was heading towards some unbelievable standoff between Katniss & Snow. I couldn't see a way for her to break into his building to try and assassinate him. And I was a bit disappointed when it tuned out he was accepting refugees into his compound. It seem too convenient to me. But that being a ploy so he could get kids as a human shield, I thought that was clever, very Snow-like.

Another part I loved about the finale was when she was hanging onto pavement or road and below her were creatures killing all who fell. When she called for help, I was dreading that Gale or Peeta would come to her rescue. But like a true hero she saved herself.

well they are both as bad as eachother but coin is worse for trying to cover up the fact that she murdered those kids with the capitol seal

atleast snow didnt hide the fact that he was a cold blooded killer

and when she suggested one final hunger games with all the capitol kids i was like OH HELL NO SHE DID NOT

Yep I agree, and I was surprised how many of the remaining victors would have been happy with them being held.

And I think Johanna was one of my fave characters, I'd love if there was a follow up book about what happens to her.

Also Gale turned out to be very cold hearted, being happy to murder loads in that mountains base, and the way he spoke about Katniss to Peeta.

Yep Johanna was more fierce in cf Also when she was refused permission to go on the mission to the Capitol in the last book, in a way I was delighted as I was sure she'd survive.

And maybe in a year or two I'd like another book, not about the hunger games, but just what happens to Johanna next but yea I agree, the story did come to a great ending.
