IMO, they should advertise it on BBC1 on Xmas Day, how awesome would that be? In the middle of EE, as on Christmas Day EE normally gets 12m-15m. But they wont have enough money to advertise it on other channels. Are there any big C4 shows on Xmas Day that bring in big audiences? Because they can do it there.

Advertising on BBC1 is impossible

They advertised during last nights Come Dine With Me that got 3.9m viewers

Even if the BBC was OK with it it couldn't happen - as a publically funded broadcaster they're banned from carrying advertising. The best they could do would be to invite Davina on to a chat show and plug it there.

They could advertise on ITV1, but they'd never do that for Big Brother

4music's highest rating for the week ending 6th December was 149,000 viewers, so it's not quite in the same league

It couldn't, the BBC can't advertise anything other than their own shows

Its not too late, well for during anything decent it is, but if Channel 4 pay ITV for a slot during the ad break they can't refuse it, they have no say

I say on Eastenders during Christmas Day, in the vic when someone goes to kill Archie..
He can be watching Channel 4 on the TV and then gets wacked around the head with a bar, he lands on the floor and the camera slowly zooms up to the TV and it says 'Hell lies in others' before going onto Friends

And then the show goes over!

Brilliant way of Advertising

Adverts for Britain's Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice aired on ITV during last year's X Factor. They've also ran promos for The Devil's ***** in the past.

Well they're obviously advertising on C4, E4, More4 and Film4 (perhaps). I've seen C4 advertising on UKGold, Living and Dave before now, odd but true. They're not the most popular channels but the more people see it the better.

I'm SURE I've seen a Channel4 advert on ITV once before, I'm positive, because I remember saying "How come they're showing that on here?!". Hmm!

I do. It adds to the excitement and also lets people who perhaps have no access to these forums/don't buy newspapers/missed the adverts previously that it is strating. S'all good!
