Default GCSE Options.

Hey guys,
i'm currently having to think about what options i'm going to take for my gcse's and i'm quite nervous. I don't have a clue what my career path is and i haven't tried most of the subjects out.What did you all take and did you enjoy it ?

I took:

Compulsory;;
- English Literature.
- English Language.
- Maths.
- Science.
- Additional Science.

Options;;
- ICT.
- French.
- Drama.
- Music.

If I'm honest.. I liked all my options, except English, I hated all my compulsories.

I'm doing this too atm. I'm definatly choosing Drama and possibly Media, or I might do Child Development as I want to become an English or Drama Teacher.

What subjects do you enjoy doing? Do you have a career tree or an idea of some of the stuff you'd consider?

I wanted to do Drama because i got good grades at a younger age,
but i currently got an F for this year
I really want to take Media and i've decided i'm definently taking French because there is a better chance of me getting into university.

Well ICT is pretty important nowadays, so imagine how important it will be in a few years.

Deffenatly do that as pretty much every job now involves Computers.

YES, you really should do RS. You will almost certainly watch a DVD in every lesson and have a few serious lessons each term and the exam is very, very easy. The occasional philosophical debates we have are interesting too.

I found it so interesting talking about such topics like plastic surgery and test tube babies, there was many more as well, so i'm actully swaying towards taking that instead of Drama.

Ah! but Drama's amazing <3

But nah, seriously, pick four subjects you enjoy and have an interest in.

I am now an actor... so mine kind of directed me a little bit, but I was never an academic person anyway!

It's woodwork pretty much.

We make 3 things, a tray, (model) chair and a container... we could make whatever we wanted out of these... own designs etc

and then in year 11, you make one big project I'm making a birdhouse!
