There bringing alot of old characters back, IMO I think if they can do this and its a good script then go for it.

But look at Scream 3, were we left off.. Wasnt the best film in the world was it?

I Hope they can return to the same good movie Scream 1 and 2 were, and if they are planning on going up to Scream 6, then lets hope they can keep it 'scary' and intresting.

I heard they were in talks with Jamie Kennedy about returning some how, even though he was killed in Scream 2.. but he was the best character.
They need to find a way for him to return otherwise its bent already.

I love the Scream films, the third one was a bit ****ty but still watchable, I cant wait for the 4th edition and I hope to god they keep the old format and dont try turn it into a very serious saw like horror X

Thought I would bump this given the news that has been confirmed for this project.
Wes Craven will return to direct nce again, having helmed the first three films.
It will begin shooting in the Spring, and Michigan looks like a location they are looking to film at.
Release of Scream 4 will be either Tuesday 12th April 2011 or Friday 15th April 2011. I don't know which date it will be, because Ive seen two different dates for release. I think the Friday release is more likely than the Tuesday.
