I started my driving lessons a few weeks ago and on my second lesson (yesterday) I was driving on the main road for a while.. my instructor thinks I'm a natural, haha.
This is a question for people who drive.. how many lessons did you do before passing your test? I know it varies depending on the person but I'm just interested! It's cause I heared the average is 40 :O

I had 36 manual lessons then i made the decision to go to automatic because i couldn't change gear look and stuff all at the same time so automatic is easier although i have stopped driving for a bit im going to start in April.

Aww, I'm sure you'll be fine! And you won't hit someone, I was scared of that.. when you learn it's dual control, your instructer will have pedals on their side so they can stop the car whenever (I didn't know that before my first lesson :/).

I've had 20 lessons, been driving for over a year and still haven't passed (failed 3 times on retarded things, for some reason it's more difficult to pass over here which sucks)
Most my friends had like 10 though. |

Personally, I had 27 hours. It sucked a bit at the beginning but you get used to it. Take your time and think twice about doing something. It will go well.

8 1 hour lessons, was told apply for test after 1st lesson (as waiting list).........but had really learned with my dad on car parks/country roads. And I've not had an accident in 26 years where I've hit anyone or been at fault (idiots hit me) after got full licence despite having some big engined cars and 3 MRs and driving snow/ice a lot in Scotland.
If you can learn with parent/friend saves a hellava lot of wasted time/money. Last edited by Claymores; 12-02-2010 at 11:09 AM. |
