Default I refuse to believe THIS IS THE END OF BB

Does anyone share my view that Big Brother could be back on TV or the Internet next year?

Yeah, not Channel 4, but I really believe another channel will pick it up. Maybe a new Internet Channel, Sky or Channel 5. Even though Channel 5 have said no, I secretly think they'll be watching this year's TV ratings and might put in an offer.

Despite critics saying BB has no life left in it, I think they're wrong. Nothing beats the expectation and excitement we all feel as a new series dawns.

What do you think? Is this really the end??

it needs to rest, if it comes back next year it will only continue to carry on with down hill spiral, and it would soon become so bad that no channel would ever pick it up again.

There is like a 25% chance it will be picked up.

I'd say less then that, how many shows in the past 10 years have been picked up again after being axed? It'll possibly come back in a fair few years but it won't be back any time soon.

What are the odds that if this year the ratings suddenly double C4 would change their mind? 0%?

In the short term this year is the end of Big Brother
However the show has been so big, so important and has changed British television so much that it would be wrong to think that this is the end of Big Brother for ever. My guess is that it will be back on our screens a lot sooner than we expect, maybe in 5 years.

C4 have already spent the money that would of gone to Big Brother on new stuff. There is no way back for it on C4.

I think it's time for it to end. It used to be a phenomenon, it's not anymore, I think they ran out of ideas. The show is tired, it needs to be out of the public eye for a bit and then come back in a few years. But as for now, it's better this way.

Yes I can see a New Big Brother
on Ch5 , Sky , ITV1 or ITV2
and even the channel that needs it the most
after Richard And Judy died on TV, Watch Ch wants it.

Well, five years is too long to wait for me.

Anyway, the BBC didn't want Neighbours, so Channel 5 bought it.

And ITV1 said they were finished with Home and Away and guess what, Channel 5 bought it.

I am more hopeful. I would say there's a 75% chance of it coming back next year.

This.
It's just such a big show, i mean it makes headlines in papers and headlines on the tv. Not that many shows do that.. It maybe over for now but i do believe it will be back in 5-10 years..

i can really see big brother on channel five, imagine the adverts how five have their logo as the circle... it would spin and turn into the bb eye, the music would flash on.... ohh excitment,.

i do agree though that five do seem to "kill" shows sometimes. i think bb needs some time to die, i would rather neither than just the celebrity series, it would be stupid to just have these random cbb every year in my eyes.

It won't come back imo. Its too expensive and just not worth it to ch4 anymore.

New formats will pop up over the next few years and BB will stay just a fond memory. The shows been done to death, literally.

Im with you.

This is why I get pissed off when people say 'The last EVER Big Brother' no, you only say EVER if your sure somthing is finishing for good.

Even Davina has said, Big Brother UK has a good format theres nothing wrong with it and CBB Showed people are still intrested and BB10 was just a poor series in some peoples eyes.

Every show has their ups and downs now and then unfortunatly BB10s 'down' was when the contract had to be renewed.

Channel 4 think by getting rid of Big Brother they are revamping their channel.
Let me tell you, its going to fail epicly their 'new channel' and no one will care.

Big Brother is a big show, weither you like it or not.

Other channels like Sky and Five who said during BB10 'We would never be intrested in Big Bruv' just went back on their words in January and said they wouldnt mind taking it.

And thats just by CBB Getting good ratings.

If BB11 can pull in Big Ratings (And I have a feeling it will) then we can be sure Big Brother will be back in another channel.

Maybe not in 2011 unfortunatly, I mean these things take time to set it up and stuff.

But who knows maybe in 2012 we will have Big Brother 12.
It'll be back.

ITV and BBC wouldnt touch it so what other big channels are you flapping about?

Sky or Ch5 would just kill its memory for good. Nobody watches sky and Ch5 don't have the cash to do it justice. End of.

BB is dying worldwide. Get over it. Let go.

Hopefully if it does get the boot, then it will come back in years to come with a similiar format.

Channel 5 is up for sale so I'm not sure they would be in a position to sign expensive contracts for new shows until a buyer has been found.

No.
You dont run them.
Stop being so negative.

As others said it could take time.
