Well, i just don't understand why they should be treated unequally?

Were all humans, therefore should be given the same chances and opportunities in life, same goes for all ethnic groups, i feel everything should be done to try and stop discrimination.

In humanitarian issues, yes, as we move forward to the newer generation, both sexes should be looked and treated equal as we both have rights.
I believe there are things that a man can do exclusively and a woman can do solely, but that's what makes the world beautiful and so different isn't it ?

As a nurse that sees plenty of death - that is the biggest load of crap I have heard!

I'd love to see men give birth - the human race would be extinct by now - they couldn't cope with the pain!

Sign Of The Times.

Over 800,000 women served in the Soviet armed forces in World War II; nearly 200,000 of them were decorated and 89 of them eventually received the Soviet Union’s highest award, the Hero of the Soviet Union. They served as pilots, snipers, machine gunners, tank crew members and partisans, as well as in auxiliary roles.[1] Very few of these women, however, were ever promoted to officers.

Sure, of course. What they ought to do first is give women the right to walk a little more than five paces behind their husband. After that, we might even have to consider giving them the right to vote.

Id like to see most women try labouring..

It would be to much of a struggle for most of them because they arent as strong.

As sexist as that sounded, it's completely true.

But yes, they should be treated equally in most circumstances.

Well since the discussion has completely missed the point about treating both sexes equally in terms of respecting their strengths and weaknesses in all ways, and the contribution to humankind from both, and is purely being debated in physical terms let's get down to the nitty gritty.

When you're able to carry and nurture a baby in your body for nine months then push it out through a tiny aperture causing the most horrendous pain known to humankind, you will have my permission to come back and talk about whether men can ever be equal to women. That's the tragedy of being born male I suppose, you will never ever have THE most profound, lifechanging and meaningful experience in the world - giving birth - you are condemned always to a secondhand experience. Till then men, rest assured the majority of women have no need of male validation as to their worth - there is nothing more valuable than creating life.

so after this most profound, lifechanging and most meaningful experience in the world of giving birth, why do so many women in today's society choose career instead of devoting themselves to their family?

well, strange as it may seem some men are better and more maternal then women and vice versa, also some women have better jobs than their husbands so it makes more sense. We're all individuals it's not black and white as you're trying to make out

Because women have a lot more about them then just raising families! In the modern world, with more labour saving devices - women have more time to follow careers as well as having families!

Like most things in life, it is about choice! If women are able and want to do both - that is up to them! It is not for individuals with narrow, pre-conceived ideas to tell others how they should live their lives according to their gender!

Because they can - why shouldn't they FGS? Are you suggesting that men can have it all, but women can't? Women need to fulfil their potential and aspirations as much as men do. For some women having children and being a stay at home mum is fulfilling enough, but for others it is not. Not all men have careers, a lot make just enough money to go piss it up the wall at weekends, and some can barely make it to the signing on queue once a fortnight, so don't let's pretend that all men are movers and shakers, because we all know that isn't true

If you have no valid stereotype for ALL men, don't try imposing one on ALL women.

Yes because I dont see any reason why we are different other than the obvious.

Of course men will be better at some tasks than women and vice-versa, but actually being treated should be equal.
