It's always hard to say what actually constitutes "inciting racial hatred", it seems to be a grey area. But does one girl burning a book on facebook really incite hatred? I wouldnt say so

And? Two rights does not make a wrong. You seem to forget these are Muslim EXTREMISTS who have burned the bible - not normal muslims. This is some stupid teenage girl who gets what she deserves, I doubt she even understand the Muslim faith.

Why should that be an arrestable offence? Disrespecting Christianity for one thing is great fun, as evidenced by Jerry Springer: the Opera, which also got banned thanks to complaining crybabies.

Silly, the police are bending over backwards not to offend the Islamic community when their precious time could be spent on more important matters.

And yes, the law banning 'incitement to religious hatred' is stupid and illiberal too and should be repealed.

Pretty stupid of her really, but hopefully something good would come out of it.

If she is prosecuted and punished it then sets a standard in law which has to be honoured. The next time radical muslims burn a copy of the Bible then the same standards have to be applied to them, if not double standards have then been shown to apply to UK law and the girl can them claim for a removal of the conviction and compensation.

I myself believe in space wolves. They can't be proven to exist, but they visit me each night and tell me to dropkick people in the face and that bread is sacred and not to be heated.

I'm pretty much the same mindset as this (but I dont believe in space wolves...worshipping moomins is more my thing ). But I also think if they are going to punish one, they should punish others for the same thing, otherwise its not really very fair and is prejudice in a way :/
