His entire act is based on nostalgia and getting a crowd of middle age, lagered up northerners to laugh via crude, basic jokes. Which is about as taxing as buttering bread.
I hate him. Him and Lee 'Y'know my wife?' Evans. Two comedians perfect for middle England consumption. Repetetive, overexposed acts. Gervais at least is a genius writer, say what you want about him. His a smart man who crafts great comedy you either like or don't. Last edited by Stu; 28-11-2010 at 05:41 PM. |

Everyone think's he's epic.
He's not. I could list alot of better Comedians than this *****. Keith Lemon, Sean Lock, Jason Manford, Michael McIntyre, Ricky Gervais etc Even Russel Kane is funnier than him. Bring back he old M&S Adverts.. 'Christmas Pudding Delicious and Topped With Chocolate and Vanilla Sauce Drenched In Urine... Hmmm' 'A Turkey Slice So Tender with Cranberry Sauce dripping down the sides.. Christmas with M&S!' ![]()

Michael McIntyre lol. Now that's a joke.
And Keith Lemon is not a comedian. He is a one trick pony mostly found funny by teenage boys. Charlie Brooker is ace, too. |

He isn't my favourite comedian, but I don't hate him.. I'm going to see him in June, so we'll see.
My favourite stand ups are Russell Brand, Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert and Ricky Gervais

Max and Paddy and That Peter Kay Thing are good. His stand up wears thin quickly though.

I've never been to a stand-up show so my favourite comedians are normally the ones you see on shows like Mock the Week; Frankie Boyle, Ian Hislop, Andy Parsons etc

Phoenix Nights was good. I'll give him that. But then it's not his massive, lumbering figure on stage in your face for two hours. Might as well get in the inevitable favourites list, too :
Bill Hicks, Bill Bailey, Billy Connolly, Richard Pryor, Ross Noble, Rik Mayall, Paul Merton off the top of my head. I like Frankie Boyle too on Mock The Week but when watching one of his shows eighteen jokes a minute about child abuse wears thin. Last edited by Stu; 28-11-2010 at 05:50 PM. |

Yeah I have heard that, someone I know went to see him and they said he's a lot more offensive than he is on Mock the Week, and it was like he was seeing how far he could go almost
