I think she would have won with complete ease. She was a likeable , quirkey person who defo had the likeability factor on her side. She also had by far the best voice out of anyone

Early favourites never seem to win on these things, so I doubt it.

This.
Over rated ******ing bint, only reason people cared about her was a reason for them to have a go at Cheryl.

FFS PATRICK NO. "PEOPLE ONLY.." YOU DONT KNOW! NO WE DIDNT. WE LOVED HER THATS WHY WE HAD A GO AT CHERYL. SHE WAS FAVOURITE TO WIN. SHE HAD THE MOST FANS. SO DONT MAKE IT OUT THAT SHE WASN'T POPULAR. OR PEOPLE ONLY DID IT TOO ANNOY CHERYL. ITS BECAUSE SHE WAS SO BLOODY POPULAR. YOU THINK YOUR RIGHT WELL YOUR NOT.
and on topic. yeah she would of easily won, she has the best voice, and by far the most likeable contestant. And she already has a single coming out.. so most sucessfull so far. |

Yes she was - strong voice but terribly dull. Sorry, but the ones that still remain in the show would've still all beaten her.

Almost everyone liked her in boot camp and felt like she deserved a place on the live shows, but I doubt she was popular enough to get the votes required to get this far. That came only after she was rejected and deported. I see her as a female version of Paije. There was also a bit of an uproar on Twitter when he didn't get through, but people quickly forgot this when he got the wild card. On the live shows he was decent, but forgettable. He had enough fans to get him to week whatever but (to quote Simon) had "zero chance of winning."

I don't think she would have got as far as Katie or Cher, which rather supports Chavryl I think. Katie got a magnificent 7th, and not so fixed, whenever it was referred to the public vote she was through on merit even putting out the early favourite Aiden on a public vote.

ONe last Ode to the Gamu, who is the reason why I didnt really bother watching Xfactor that much this year, as opposed to usually!
I dont think she would have won, and being that she is a Black vocalist, who sings a lot of soul music, one of her or Rebecca, wouldn't have made the final. But I am gonna say, I think Gamu would have made the final. In the end, it would depend on how she did in the live shows! If she was flawless, week after week, like Leona was, she probably could have won it. But otherwise, I think its harder now to win if you go against the boys. I am actually shocked that one Direction didnt win, and Matt won , like every week!

As I said, early favourites don't win. Mary and Cher both ran out of steam, so I think Gamu would have definitely been in the top 8 but wouldn't have won. No way would her fanbase have detracted from Matt's, she'd have just split votes with Rebecca and pushed them both down the finishing table.

I would say she'd make the final, its hard to tell because we dont know what direction she'd go down or how consistent she'd have been.

I think so, yes. She was by far the strongest contestant at boot camp and wasn't in anyway underexposed in terms of screen time.
