Although 'Two Thousand And Eleven' sounds so much better than 'Twenty Eleven' so I'm going to just say that this year, I never understood people who also said 'Twenty Ten' for the past year aswell sounds weird.

I think they said at the beginning of this year it's going to be called the Teens, which seriously kind of fails because the first 3 years of this decade aren't teenaged

But I heard this at the end of a BBC3 Show so...

I bet they don't come up with a proper name for this decade until like the end of 2019, just like they did with The Noughties lol

'Two Thousand and Ten' does sound better than 'Twenty Ten', but 'One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety' sounds horrific. And so for the sake of consistency the government insisted we call 2010, 'Twenty Ten'.

Actually, I'd normally call it the "tens" I think because I would call 1910-20 the Nineteen-tens. That's a bit of a boring name though

Also I just read on Yahoo Answers is this true,

When we go into 2030, 2040, 2050 etc etc

Those decades are going to be called 'The 40's' and 'The 70's' etc?
It's so weird it's going to be like a revamped version of the other 70s once we get to 2070 then, Which means we'll all be able to live in the 60s at some point even if we didn't get to live in the original 1960s!
