Question Channel 4 + Channel 5 VS Endemol?

Just out of curiosity, who do you prefer?

I never thought I'd ever consider Channel 5, I've always found them a laughing stock.
Infact I remember the first time I seen Channel 5, they were broadcasting something about witches and I just laughed at it because it was such a fail.

Never did I know they would be our Saviour and rescue Big Brother.

Endemol, produce great shows and make Big Brother the show we all love so I voted them but I'll never forgive them or Phil Edgar Jones for that matter, for what he did to us in the final week of BB11.

Channel 4 can suck it.

Channel 4 because they show Gypsy Weddings

Also Big Brother wouldn't have lasted as long had it not aired on Channel 4

Phil's left Endemol so will no longer be at the helm (now works for the agency that provides most the housemates though so will still be sort of connected to the selection of housemates).

Endemol ACTUALLY make the show. It's the channels themselves who try and step in and ruin things.

While he is no longer working with Endemol currently, that doesnt mean they wont ask him back, nor does it mean he will decline any such offer.

It's been confirmed he won't be doing it (nor will Brighter Pictures/Remarkable Television who produced it from BB4 onwards).

Endemol make the show and the channels broadcast it. You can't really compare all of them since there's no grounds on which to do so, it'd be like trying to compare Lady Gaga to RedOne, uncomparable because they each play a different role despite being apart of the same industry. Not the greatest example but...

A better poll would have been which channel do you prefer.

exactly

apples and oranges

Overall, Channel 4 have revolutionised UK TV. Whereas Channel 5 are still crap.

Endemol are just a production company.

So Channel 4 win by a landslide. If you specifically mean relating to BB then they still win hands down because theyve made it the monster it is. Channel 5 have proved nothing yet and may well nail its coffin well and truly shut.

It doesnt really matter about the name of the production company, they are all part of the Endemol corporation.

They simply move producers, writers and other production staff between companies as and when necessary, its done for legal and tax purposes.

I'm fully aware of all of this (I've been into media for years) simply saying that a different division of Endemol (Remarkable Television still exists but won't be running BB anymore), with, at the moment, different production staff, are doing it this year.
