Basically with a female winner, Channel 5 related companies can do photoshoots etc and appear in such magazines that men would less likely to cover.

I don't think so, I just hope the first winner on BB-C5 is memorable for lots of things and not just hiding away in the background like Rachel or for duvet antics like Josie last year.

I doubt if Channel 5 would be bothered as to a male or female winneras they would be the viewers choice anyway to win.Hopefully Channel 5 will make sure highlights programmes don't manipulate a win for any housemate either like last year on Channel 4.

It doesn't matter who wins. Nikki Grahame didn't win BB7 but she got all her TV jobs from E4 regardless.

So whoever wins they'll give the show to the most popular or most likely candidate.

I agree Patrick. I don't get the hate for Brian Belo. Just because he said he didn't know who Shakespeare was? That's the only reason :S
Yeah it could have been fake. He could have really known who he was and was just playing more thick than he actually is.

However Sophie from BB10 said she didn't know who Barack Obama was but then she wrote about him and knew about him when she applied for BB....

It seems the public like to vote for a "thick" person as the winner. Someone under the radar who doesn't cause any controversy. Aprt from Brian Belo. He was one of the main characters from bb8 who did something.

Well Corin was a bit thick from BB11 but I would have loved if she actually won because she was... ENTERTAINING.

Patrick, i have been posting about Rachel Rice for a while with some of my posts on her when she comes up in a thread. It was pathetic how she won. The main point is, the British Public are so thick when it comes to who to keep in and who to get out. Perhaps with Channel 5, a new viewer range, this might change.

It would be nice for an older male who has "lived a life" and has actually worked for a living to win Big Brother! Of course an ordinary straight male can be in front of the OK magazine! And have a reality show. OK nowadays just has females on the front cover.. apart from dull Peter Andre.
