Unhappy Celebrity Big Brother 8 | My Review

Where to start?

This series was fantastic.

I know I wasn't the only one who ranted and raved in April when we heard that Celebrity Big Brother was beginning before Big Brother 12 - but I have to say, it's the best thing that's happened.

I know 90% of the forum hated this series - but here, it seemed everyone loved this series.
In school it was like everyone was talking about it, everyone had an opinion and if you didn't watch it - you weird an outcast!

It was just like 2006, last Summer it was like I was the only one on Facebook talking about BB, this year?
Everyone was talking about it.

The house was amazing but I admit it looked really tacky on TV with the fake rock designs and stuff.

Brian was good tonight, but sucked the other nights and should swap places with Emma.

The editing was actually good, we need to embrace this is how BB is now.

The eye has grown on me completely, infact I love it now.

The housemates were not Z-Listers, they are current, they are in the headlines, they're trendy amongst young viewers and most of them were British unlike previous years with American or Russian 50 Year old Celebrities.

I just think the only thing literally that could of made this series more brilliant would of been Live Streaming.

The tasks this year also weren't that bad at all, the supermarket task was brilliant.

Over all I think this has been the best Celebrity Big Brother ever - and it's probably going to be really under rated like BB9 and forgotten and it's all because of the Live Feed.

Goodbye CBB8.

Yeah am usually the only one of my mates that watch it but most of the did this year.

Was a great series I would rather it went on for a couple more weeks than have another series start tomorrow

Agree completely.

Also today everyone was like 'I can't wait for the normal one, last year's was kinda good with Josie and stuff ' and I was like 'What the ******?'

Like I would just love CBB8 to go on abit longer.

It was the second best Celebrity series, in my opinion. It would've been great if it was a little longer.

I would have watched it all if I had the chance but I missed so much when I've been away because I'm the only person in my family who actually watches BB. I missed too much to have a balanced view on the housemates anyway but the final was one of the best ever I think.

Didn't mind it i thought the last week was going to be awful after Tara left but it wasn't that bad at all it was one of the best finals Big Brother has had in a long time as well everything just went smoothly and nothing was rushed or underdone the interviews were all good and the Brian was actually pretty decent he didn't go to over the top with anyone considering we only seen a small amount of footage in the 3 weeks it wasn't bad.

"The housemates were not Z-Listers, they are current, they are in the headlines"

Lucien? Pamela? Sally? Bobby?

What an idiotic comment to make.

Except for maybe those, but people made out on here that the show was full of nobodies - as if they were expecting the ******ing queen to arrive on the show.

Lucien fits what I said about them being current and popular amongst Big Brother's newer audience, Pamela - isn't she big in America or something? I don't know.

Sally and Bobby you're right about, but they were good housemates anyway.

I generally mean everyone seems to love this series, as in the hype surrounding this series in general online [not on this miserable site] and offline has been alot more like BB7, not quite as big but almost there - unlike the past 4 Years.

And also I don't get what you were trying to prove by 'There you go.'?
Like I said, Big Brother use to be a show where you would get laughed at for liking it - trust me I should ******ing know, but this year - people who use to call people like myself 'sad' for liking it, have fallen inlove with the show.

So clearly it has gained a new audience, picked up some of the old viewers, and relit something that Channel 4 lost, obviously.

Bobby was not on a list before he went in so wasn't Z list. He is now, however, very much an A-Lister.

C5 certainly know how to put a show on!!
The launch night and finals night were the best for years they were phenomenal all credit for that but the highlight shows began to feel like a chore after a week of them the lack of live feed killed the series it doesnt work without it but 100% for effort its just a shame it lacked the obvious it ruined what could well of been a triumphant relaunch for C5.

Oh give over. Your such a blinkered fanboy that you can't face reality. Sure it might have been a hit with people you know - I wouldn't deny that - but again and again you go on about it being the biggest and most talked about series since 2006 and it's not.

Ratings do not lie.

Sorry but this needs to be said, Patrick, you have completely insane views about this series.

What was so good about it? The only times it felt remotely like the good ol' Big Brother of old was when they cut out the silly tacky music, the cheesy editing etc.

Personally i just prayed for a clip of a couple of people having a chat about something without something else going on, just like the C4 days.

And that barely happened.

C5 have neutered and tackified what was a brilliant show, and that's not something to celebrate.

IMO It was brilliant series, one of the best castings for a CBB. Don't care what someone who watched it for 2 days and though 'cba, worst series ever' has to say.

Also pisses me off how people complain its crap because theres no real celebs. Does it ****ing matter? as long as they entertain us its still BB + people can't seem to realise the fact we never get A listers is because they don't have 3 weeks spare to take off just to sit in a house.

Oh and the music/editing was hardly even done much at the end so that can't be used as an excuse to slag it off and start crying 'this isn't BB because they used 10 seconds of music over a task'.

But whatever, I thought it was great and glad I followed it until the end.

I have to agree with everything you say Patrick... a very enjoyable series that was spoilt by a few negatives whining about no live-feed.

Good write up Patrick. I disliked most of the housemates, but despite that, Channel 5 did really well, it was entertaining. I didn't watch much at all over the last few days, but was channel hopping last night between the FINAL and Hollyoaks Later, thought all the exit were good, music choice inspired and was so pleased for Paddy to win.

pamela never heard of her either total nutter
tara reid again i had no idea who she was didnt like her @ all
kerry katone everyone knows kerry good r/up
amy childs very current but quite boring

jedward again everyone knows them entertaining
paddy if u watched gypsy wedding u wud know him if not u wudnt. a good winner
darryn i had no idea who he was but loved him by the end
bobby again no idea who he was provided eye candy but thats it
lucian vague idea of him played the game but well enuf lol
