You're connecting 'In school' to my previous line?
I generally mean everyone seems to love this series, as in the hype surrounding this series in general online [not on this miserable site] and offline has been alot more like BB7, not quite as big but almost there - unlike the past 4 Years. And also I don't get what you were trying to prove by 'There you go.'? Like I said, Big Brother use to be a show where you would get laughed at for liking it - trust me I should ******ing know, but this year - people who use to call people like myself 'sad' for liking it, have fallen inlove with the show. So clearly it has gained a new audience, picked up some of the old viewers, and relit something that Channel 4 lost, obviously.

I don't really know why people always think of Sally as a Z-Lister just because she isn't really famous in BB-circles. She's well known in the political world and it was her going in the house that actually made broadsheets interested in the show, even had them talking about it on Newsnight where they were pretty much only focusing on her

The last Celebrity series was much more talked about from my experience. A lot of people who worked in TV and the press admitted that they actually started watching it again. It was full of all these watercooler moments that got people tuning in. And the ratings reflected it. Over a million more people watched the show - of course it was a bigger deal. I don't buy Channel 5 being used as an excuse for falling ratings. People know how to switch channels. It just transpires that not everyone exists in your bubble that thinks the nation is tuning in to see two cheese brained twins take baths together. Sure it got some people talking but it wasn't at all reflected in the ratings despite the hype. That's one thing I'll give you. It was one of the most hyped series in years but than of course it was. It was a fresh restart on another channel. Hype is what happens before the show starts. Last edited by Stu; 09-09-2011 at 02:12 PM. |
