I am white(it will make sense why I mention this in a moment). I love Big Brother and have seen every season. I like all aspects of the show except for the lack of cultural diversity some seasons. This season isn't too bad but I was hoping for more ethnicity in the housemates. It always makes things more interesting IMO. Anyway that's just my preference.

Now let me get to the point. There is a lot of double standards that go on in the house and also by the public when it comes to black or other minority housemates. I've seen it a lot in past seasons and this season with Aaron and Anton is a good example.

First off my initial impressions of Anton was that he was a dickhead and I got very little entertainment value from him. The delusional ranting about bagging Maisy and the other females in the beginning was pathetic to say the least. I actually quite liked Aaron in the beginning though and all the way up until shortly after the whole love triangle thing blew up.

I won't get too long with it but what made me change my mind was the way the public have painted Anton to be such a villain and Aaron a hero. First off Anton is intentionally being two faced in the diary room for entertainment value. Sometimes he is a massive prick but it is always entertaining to listen to him(even if he is making an ass of himself). Aaron claimed in his VT that he has his way with the ladies and that he was going to stir it up and that is exactly what he has done. The problem is no one seems to realize he is doing it and think that he's so innocent.

The big difference between Anton and Aaron and much to Anton's dismay is that Aaron is much more intelligent than Anton. Aaron is much more sly and cunning as well. Besides masterfully sulking like a child when his feelings have been hurt, Aaron uses language like accusations of sexism and cheap shots like the bit about wheelchair to influence public opinion and obviously it's working like a charm.

It also works even better when the opponent happens to be a minority. This will controversial to be sure but why does Emma Willis "love that Aaron is loving all the drama"(latest BOTS)? But when Anton does or says something similar she despises him for it.

Even with Heaven; She is a bit of a nutter but surely she is very kind at heart and harmless to say the least. Why so much hatred from the public?

I really could go on and on but that's just the gist of it. I'm sure no one here will agree. "You're too sensitive" or "You're imagining things" they'll say.

Oh well I said it.
