This is a fair point. There are a lot of xenophobic people in the UK who discriminate against housemates for their nationalities. They are responsible for how it all turned out tonight. Bet the BNP are pleased too that an American hasn't won the show.

It is possible that some people just don't like Michael or the twins.

Other Americans have been in the show and not won, yet they still manage to find get some in this series.

I hope so, they've given some great housemates over the years. I dunno, I feel this series we have seen anti-Americanism on a larger scaled, I don't seem to remember it being present against Coolio, Stephen Baldwin etc. but now it seems their nationality is something to be held against them

If housemates are entertaining then I don't mind where they're from. I wouldn't say "no more Irish or Welsh housemates" because Gareth and Georgia were boring. I wouldn't like people from other countries to not want to get involved because of the xenophobia from the public during this series though.

Xenophobia is huge here. But the main problem is, a lot of you people dont want to accept it. i have been making the point here forever, but some of you are quick to brush it under the carpet, because no way are the uk people like that right? . When you accept that its there, you can make progress. Americans also have their issues with it, but they dont try to brush it off, because its embarrassing.

But after, this series, pretty hard to pretend it doesnt exist. Because even after some of what I have seen in the past, I have been TRUlly shocked with stuff Ive read tonight. I couldnt really comment BEing quite speechless.

The racism (and yes in my eyes it is total racism) towards the americans we have seen on this show both by the housemates and also on some of the discussions on BOTS I could see less of them willing to come over to be on the show.
