I've been meaning to start lessons forever but I've never got round to it, gonna try later this month and I was just wondering who here can drive (legally, as in, not a provisional licence)

No, although I am allowed free driving lessons when I want them, so whether I take them up or not, we'll see.

It's awesome when you first start driving. I remember ****ting myself after I'd passed my test and I was allowed to go off and drive on my own. My instructor and I mainly stayed around the same parts, but all of a sudden I had so much to learn.

I remember thinking that I was a really good driver, too. But it's only as I've gotten a bit older, I realise how bad I actually was.

Yeah, put off learning for a while as well because I thought I wasn't that bothered about it and I did get a bit sick of the lessons towards the end but I'm glad I did get round to it, love driving now

Never really seen the point for myself when there is public transport/friends willing to drive you place (and no I don't spunge they offer lol)

Will learn eventually and get an old suzuki jeep no matter how much the insurance will cost

Yes had my licence for a little while and would say I can drive safely and competently.

I've taken about 10 lessons so far but what with Uni I just don't have the time/money to do it up here. I enjoy it, but I'm an incredibly nervous driver. Apparently my handling is good though just wish gears didn't exist

Driving an automatic only gets you a really pointless license and let's face it makes you look like a dick

Lots of people have told me you can tell from the sound of the engine, but whenever I listen to it when someone changes gears it all sounds the same

That's because they probably know to do it before it becomes noticeable, tbh when I first started driving all things like that seemed really complicated but it does all just come natural over time

I had a go in it and Im not a natural thats for sure. Didnt like other drivers on the road ahhh
