Justin Waggot was indeed his real name. Mummy Waggot even confirmed it.

unlike maybe other posters, i give my opinion regardless of popular opinion or who the forum likes etc this is why i repsond to questions before reading other replies, then i read the replies after

in this case, this is why I watch and respond

because the actions, the reactions, the social situations, how the hm's behave , we can observe and we try to second guess what we would try and do in those situations and compare and see how we behave in different or the same ways. it is fascinating at times, i am though very disappointed overall with this years bb, its way too negative, i think the editing is the biggest culprit, theyre feeding us hate and negativity and weve learnt almost nothing about these people. which has made it a shallower experience for us all.

we are observing human behaviour that in some ways it reflects us, just as we watch movies for similar reasons. sometimes we agree with their decisions sometimes not, we try to understand the reasoning, the instincts and so on. we also try to decipher the rights and the wrongs of each action and reaction.

So again I ask, what gives YOU the viewer, the affintity, drive, and direction you have in determining what role a HM becomes, validates, percieves, manipulates or juggles? Will they care anyway?
(apart from a few celebrities like george galloway)
i certainly have no interest whatsoever in any of these people once they leave the house, in all the years ive watched it...i dont know what that says about me or the housemates?

I love the debating and stuff about it, seeing who everyone is supporting, being surprised by peoples reactions to things. I tend to support housemates who I feel are a bit like myself personality wise, or housemates that make me laugh. Those two things are most important to me when I choose a favourite.

Having said all that as InOne said, once the shows over, it's over. I still feel a vague interest in them but no more than that!

I guess I see something in one or more housemates that remind me of me and then I get passionate about defending them because I empathise with them.

Some characters remind me of school bullies and I dont like them from day 1 , they annoy me because of what they represent to me.

I think we all get involved because at some level we feel like we know these people and we relate to them in different ways. When BB ends I really miss it .

I home schooled my 2 children and we watched BB together as a basic introduction into psychology and even life skills.

Those who are themselves and don't morph into other people to fit in impress me.
I would like to think if I went in I would not be easily influenced...
Being able to maintain a sense of humour and a rational mind in there must be really hard with all the backbiting.

I have to confess I never give HM's a second thought once they have left no matter if I supported them or not haha.

I'll defend to the death any housemate that provides entertainment and gives us all something to talk about, debate and watch, after all that's in essence the sole purpose of any entertainment TV show and that's why I find it so frustrating and mind-boggling when certain people are so desperate to want to get rid of any housemate who dares to do anything and create any type of storyline, it's totally illogical.

Sometimes the housemates I support are people I wouldn't want to surround or associate myself with at all, but that really isn't the point of the show. I guess I don't really view the housemates as people, more 'characters' in some TV show whereby the idea of course would be to keep the big characters in, similar to how you'd want the big characters to stay in any soap opera. I can easily judge them as people on their behaviour, but in an entertainment TV show like Big Brother I don't believe that's what we should be judging them on, I think it's on what they contribute and provide for us to watch and discuss. After all, if we didn't have housemates that did that then we wouldn't have a show at all.

It's only a bit of panto, do you honestly think people on this forum get genuinely upset about arguments they had on here about a HM? I don't. It's fun having a favourite HM and defending them, like loads of others have said, the minute the show ends we all forget about the HMs

its no different to everything else in life, whether your talking about some film you saw and the actors with your mates. or on some bands forum discecting the good songs from the bad the band members etc. or you talk about stuff on the news or some celeb scandle. or even about some country your never see.
we all judge watch listen talk about and defend people we dont know and will never know . bb is no different but its more intresting as the tasks the idear of bb is to mess with peoples minds. its intresting so were bound to talk about and those we like or not like. yes its sad and a total waste of time. but so is 99% of everything we talk about in life. might as well hang ourselves now cause nothing is worth it lol

p.s i dont have no affinity with any housemate. i like a few most i dont some i hate. when its over they are forgotton. the ones i like can change at anytime. no blind love here is with some people though but the world needs it crazies lol

Nobody ever questions a healthy debate. It's when it starts getting personal between the people involved that raises eyebrows.

Love the last bit of your post, lol!!

It isn't the same as real life, it's a game.

You could just as much ask why can some people feel so sad when a football team loses. Same when someone you support gets evicted. In the end it is entertainment and people need to feel involved with what they are watching.
