No, but surely for someone to be really famous means that everyone will know who he is, clearly many on here had no idea who he was...

Madsen would have the most immediate, global recognition. Tara Reid is more of a joke along the lines of Lindsay Lohan. Martin Kemp is famous in the UK, but outside it, he's not known by name. People recognize his face from movies or from a Spandau Ballet video, but if you ask who he is, without a photo reference, they'd have no idea.

Anyone that has been on BOTS since is not a big celebrity. Big celebrities have to be paid a lot just to be on the show, big celebrities don't go back to work on the dinky spin-off show. So you can definitely take Gareth and Kerry off of that list.

I'd say Michael Madsen, with Tara Reid a close second.

But would have to say the jacksons have been the most famous.
the Jacksons were not on the c5 series. And Martin Kemp is not famous. I've been watching UK TV for 3 years now, and i've never heard of him. So he can't be that famous. I've seen that gay comedian on UK TV before, but never Martin Kemp.

Didn't Spandau Ballet make it in the USA? I always imagined they did...

If they did it was before my time. I'm 30 years old and have never heard of them. That song that's like "Gold!" that they played during the VT sounded familiar, but just vaguely.

Just sayin.
I recognized him because i've seen him in those list shows they do sometimes, like 50 greatest stand ups, or 50 most shocking chat show moments, those kind of shows, i've seen him on things like that.

you've never seen any Movie with Michael Madsen in it? really? i find that hard to believe. he's been in a ton of very successful movies.

I'd never heard of the playboy twins before i saw them on CBB eigther. i don't think anyone is arguing that they were famous.

They were big at the time. He played Reggie Kray in the film the Krays and Steve Owen in EastEnders. He is well known here.

Spandau Ballet were on the radio in the US, but not so well known that people knew the names of individual band members.

Yeah, they probably feel they have more to prove that they can still get these big names.

They actually secure one or two big names each series, people are like 'WHERE ARE THE CELEBS' and it's like shut up you knobs.
