I think ICT and PE are already compulsory so apart from them i'd say perhaps sociology and psychology, i'd have loved to have done them instead of PE and History in school

Geog, IT, Languages & Economics

It's good to have a language, I regret not paying much attention to French
Economics seems key for every adult
IT helps with jobs
Geography is fun

History and Economics are the only two I'd actually make compulsory up to A-level really, picked IT because it should be for a couple of years but when it got to GCSE it was just a lesson where you'd piss about really

ICT is a no brainer, I chose Economics too. I never studied it but I feel like I should have because I'm clueless about it.

ICT's pretty much a must. History, languages and economics seem the most useful and offer a varied syllabus. I clicked other to include something along the lines of PSHE, but that could be covered by biology and sociology I suppose.

Most of what is being taught in IT nowadays is not what is being looked for in the working world. Yes, computer skills are important, but all I learnt from mine was how to print screen.

I know this may seem hilarious to some being a music student, but I've never really seen the use for History.

I managed to fail Key Stage 3 History and can easily say that I've never used it for anything remotely important in my life or felt that I should know more about it. I've never felt the subject has given me a certain skill (such as PE and teamwork, Maths and problem solving, Technology and innovative thinking etc) Most of the main historic events I know of anyway so I don't see the point in it being compulsory when it's not really helpful, I don't gain any real skill from it and I have no interest in it.

the basic skills it gives are analysis of evidence and credibility, they're pretty useful I lost count of the number of times we had a "HERE'S SOURCE A, IS IT RELIABLE?" moment.

not to mention its links with politics, heritage & english... it's more of a solid basis for loads of other subjects to link with, really.

History, Geography, Art, Politics and Economics. I didn't see Languages though, would probably replace Art with it.
