Default Does everyone have 'a little bit of OCD'..?...

..(this is inspired by something Josy said in another thread..)..

Just about everyone I know says they have OCD about something - I'm certainly a bit obsessive about some things...do you think we all have 'a little bit of OCD'..or are we just being fussy..?....

Being fussy but saying OCD sounds better IMO

Think people throw around the term a bit much really, most people have something they might get a bit obsessive about it but wouldnt call it OCD

I suppose so.

Can animals have some OCD, especially cats?

well observed as usual MTVN, OCD is totally different to quirks in personality or having a "way of doing things" imo.

I know what the difference is between OCD and little quirks, but even so, think a majority of people could have OCD ranging from the mild to the excessive.

I think OCD is a lot more common than we have been led to believe. People used to be embarrassed about admitting they had it, but now people are a lot more open, which can only be a good thing.

I think most of us probably do have it in some way and to varying degrees. It isn't just about how many times a day someone washes their hands - it is about much more than that.

I think the cleaning companies have a lot to answer for, OCD does seem to be on the rise due to the paranoia around keeping germs and viiruses out of our homes.
Having said there have always been those who were just raised to be more fastidious than others?
True OCD I would have thought is serious and impacts on the life of those affected to create a high state of anxiety, so I don't believe there is a scale as such.
