Traditional British social divisions of upper, middle and working class seem out of date in the 21st Century, no longer reflecting modern occupations or lifestyles.

The BBC teamed up with sociologists from leading universities to analyse the modern British class system. They surveyed more than 161,000 people and came up with a new model made up of seven groups.

That's a load of crap, doesn't ask you age, gender or even what job you do. What if I'm Mick Philpott, but socialise with a nurse, it could come out working class!

I answered the financial questions using what my parents earn, seeing as I don't earn anything. So even though my result says so, I don't own my own home okay.

And I guess that's quite true, regardless of how I answered the questions actually. But then again those statements are more than basic and general, so.
