Default What was your favourite book as a child...

...?...hmmm, I think mine was Little Women, but I had a few...I loved Treasure Island as well, but it gave me terror attacks about the Black Spot and I constantly checked the palm of my hand to make sure I didn't have it....

My uncle bought me a collection of Winnie the Pooh books with matching colouring books when I was very young and I adored them very much.

Loads really.. I used to read all the time when I was younger. The Harry Potter books are definitely some of my favourites, and the Alex Rider ones. My Dad read a bunch of Rohl Dahl books to me as well and I remember loving James and the Giant Peach a lot.

This thread made me think, I remember a book I was given from my Grandmother, 'The Silver Sword'.
She had owned it for decades.

I was 9 when she gave me it but I got really engrossed in the story and read it over and over.
I still have it,I think I may start to read it again.

There was a book I reread a couple of times in my English class when I was about 10, but I don't know what it was called... it was about a pair of African (I think Nigerian) children, brother and sister, who were refugees and came to London, but didn't like their foster family so ran away.

I loved the books by Roald Dahl, he is a timeless writer for children. I also loved the Capitan Underpants series, was obsessed with those books.

Honestly, I can't remember properly falling in love with a series until I read Harry Potter when I was 7, haha. I read the entire series at least 10 times over. :l
