Paper Towns
6/10 Acting was solid and the first 40ish minutes were great but I didn't like the ending at all and the main female character played by Cara Delavigne Spoiler:

8mile - One of my favourites. For an acting debut Eminem did great. Great storyline and it's great that it's partially based on his life. Solid acting from Brittany Murphy too.

Tried watching 'Gone Girl' but I became so annoyed I turned it off. The first 20 minutes is shot in the dark - even during daylight scenes - and the soundtrack is poor.

That Awkward Moment - 6/10 - Pretty funny movie and a great cast, one of my favourite comedies of the past couple of years. Pretty deserving of a sequel once Zac Efron/Michael B Jordan/Miles Teller's busy schedules free up.
Committed - 5/10 - I really wanted to love this because it's exactly the kind of idea that seems to always work for me in independent films (just 2 characters, tonnes of character development, dialogue heavy) but it fell a little flat. The female character was interesting but the guy didn't really have enough charisma about him to make it work as well as it should have done. Still an ok film though, especially with it being the Directors first ever film and her being young. Kajaki - 8/10 - Such a great film. I hadn't heard of the event beforehand (a group of British soldiers being trapped in a minefield in Afghanistan in 200...7?) but I think that helped me enjoy the film more anyway. Some amazing performances by little known British actors and quite emotional as well. Better than American Sniper, which came out around the same time. |

Sinister 2-
Saw this last night, didn't really understand some parts of the plot lmao the characters were good, some of the twists & jump scares were good, but since the first film had a lot to live up to because a lot of people liked the first one, I believe the second was alright but could've improved a bit more. I liked how it was connected to the first one. the only thing that let it down was the films of the family's weren't the same as the first one, they felt more creative but something was lacking idk 8/10

Into The Grizzly Maze
7/10 Surprisingly good man v beast horror with a brilliant cast (James Marsden, Thomas Jane, Billy Bob Thornton and Piper Perabo) I never expected much but it was well made and there were some great kills and they really raised the bar making one character deaf, cant even imagine how scared I'd be being deaf and seperated from my friends in fog after seeing a rabid bear chew a persons face off
