I don't actually think Dexter is having a whale of a time.

He went into the BB house to make friends and to try and turn his life around, or so he says. I assume from that he found his life very unsatisfactory.

Spectacular fail so far as making friends is concerned. I have a feeling his life won't change very much at all once he leaves the house. Even his own mother seems pretty lukewarm towards him, despite a brief show of "affection" during the freeze task.
