Nope, Nicole was just being nicole showing her ability. Why should she dampen her talent down? The fact is she 100% showed up Sam and Sam's short comings.

Nicole has a vastly superior vocal range and ability plus Nicole oozes sexiness, stage presence and charisma, which Sam lacks. Why bother with Sam? Sam looked like a local kareoke competition winner who got the chance to sing with Nicole. Last year Jahmain was dominated but mic gate and the fact he's a guy so he was not shown up as much and James Arthur held his won. Nicole easily wiped the floor with Sam.

I totally agree - and it completely put me off Nicole. I find her very attention-seeking despite already being so successful. Again, disagree Nicole was just singing. If Sam b was as good as her fans overhyped her she would have more than held her own, she failed totally and to reiterate all Nicole did was show why Sam has no career in the real world. Sam b was just so so, all the best bits came from Nicole.

Sam was like a Buckie Thistle Fc player trying to play for Nicole's Bayern Munich or Paris St Germain.

but why should she? Sam just isn't as good as people make out. You put Sam next to a world class talent like Nicole and she is totally exposed. All the duets were on paper matched up eg Shane same sort of ability as Nicholas and the other XF contestants held their own. The raw fact is Sam did the worst in the duets. To be a star you actually have to have star quality, against Nicole we ALL saw Sam doesn't have it.

Well, it's a duet. We need to hear Sam as well. Nicole, as a professional, should have allowed Sam to shine.

but what is nicole supppsed to do, put a bag over her head, a muzzle, wear a sack and not move? The simple fact is how do you know Nicole wasn't holding back to let Sam shine. The failure was 100% Sam's fault as she failed. For all we know Nicole might have tried to let Sam shine.

I have to agree with you, Ellie and Luke were very much a partnership, Shane knew when to step back and let Nicholas lead but it seemed in the performance with Sam that Nicole and Sam were in a battle for who got the best of each other.

Nicole totally outperformed and outsang Sam,which left Sam seemingly coming across as in a way struggling with the song and peformance by playing catch up almost.

Why should Sam be angry at Nicole. It's not Nicole's fault she is a better singer and has all other things going for her. SAM should have sung better.

If you are going to take on Nicole you need to give your "A - game".

It's actually ruined Sam's career whether she wins or loses as it's rendered her pointless.

Rubbish - Sam was bound to feel insecure in that situation, she is the unknown contestant on the show, whilst Nicole is one of the judges and so-called star. Nicole was given the biggest part of the song to sing, probably at her insistence, and did not exercise any commonsense in realising that the song was about Sam, not her. Do you think Sharon would have been pleased with the way she made that song her's and not Sam's? It was embarrasing.

We are not all so influenced by a pretty face as others and do not expect all our female singers to look a certain way to be successful.
