Why do the production team treat the viewers like imbeciles?
It was obvious from the beginning that they would not be handcuffed 24/7
and the mere fact that the handcuffs go from 6" to 6feet at the shower shows that they do think the viewers will accept anything they say.

Marcus pointed out at the beginning of the highlights that handcuffs would extend to let the housemates have a little privacy in the bathroom etc.

Did he indeed! and how do they manage that? it is not like a dog lead as was stated on another thread , otherwise they'd just let them "extend" as they (the handcuffed) wished or are they remotely controlled? No Live feed no trust in the production company!

What's your theory then fingers, they are constantly being told to put their handcuffs either off or on depending on when they feel like filming something they want to air?

The housemates were probably given a set of rules (not aired on screen) and told they can only use the extender while washing, going to the toilet or for the diary room - then if they use the extenders any time outside of those rules then they will be punished.

No need to really show the viewers that. We all have eyes, I'm sure most of us can work out what is going on!

Lets face it they were never going to be cuffed in bed, though why we were told there was a 10 minute window for them to get their PJs on is a bit of a mystery, i think most people would have accepted them being unchained going to bed!

It's probably a safety issue, it could be possible to get constricted by the cord if one person in the pair is an active sleeper. Unlikely, but possible.
