Jessica Meuse was robbed.
|
I'm ignoring childhood memories as nearly every child that I've ever seen has been aggressive at some point.
Anyway I like to think that I'm not so aggressive normally, but a few days ago I snapped at my Mother for not doing the Dinner (she's the only one that knows how to cook/doesn't test me on cooking) so when she falls asleep all the way until 10PM it sent me insane as she kept snapping at me for trying to wake her up and even threatened not to the Dinner so I told her to **** off and stole some of her things and stashed them in the Bedroom. What's the most aggressive thing that you've done? Of course it's not gonna be your proudest moment, but I need to feel better that I'm not the only one to snap when someone repeatedly provokes you.

Quand il pleut, il pleut

..so if your mum sleeps all day until 10pm, Mock...maybe a sign of her emotional well being and depression..?..if that's so then that's something she can't help and has to recognise it herself, no matter what anyone else may say to her to try to help her.. and then find the strength to change it and that's a hard thing as well/t find that because the very symptoms prevent that strength so much so a vicious circle etc...and then where the energy and the enthusiasm to help you learn to cook but sometimes not the energy to do it herself either...and the snapping at you..?..well, all energy is drained if it was depression ../I don't know, that's something that you know only but I doubt that she is purposefully provoking you...

I don't think you should be acting like that towards your mum, she may have been really tired or she maybe isn't feeling good like Ammi posted above, Mums need a break sometimes. You should be able to cook some things for yourself at your age too imo
Here's a bit of advice Mock from someone that lost their mum at a quite young age, make sure you appreciate everything she does for you and let her know you love her and your thankful every now and then, of course not everyone gets on great with one or both of their parents but you only ever get one mum or dad, remember that, you will regret it in the future if you don't. |

And to answer the thread question, the most aggressive thing I ever done was hit someone with a half brick.

..just following on what Josy has said, Mock..there is no one that will feel what she thinks of as her 'failings' more than your mum and no one who will feel worse or be effected more than she if she does feel depressed ..so possibly almost constantly feeling that she's pretty much not being what you would like of her, you know...but is just unable to break the cycle atm...
...if you can just make toast, beans on toast..egg on toast..just anything simple, it doesn't matter...then make some for her and take it on a tray and with her things on there as well with a little note saying you love her and appreciate her or say it to her yourself rather than the note but the thing about the note way is that when she feels she needs it, it's something she has and can keep to look at over and over to give her a little bit of strength and energy sometimes... |

Mock most of us lose our temper with our nearest and dearest at times, and sometimes we take people for granted as well because they do so much for us, I can tell you feel bad for snapping at your Mum, but as others have said you need to take some responsibility for yourself and learn some basic cooking skills. The most aggressive thing I have done is thrown some crockery on the floor. |

Smacking a woman across the face with a riding whip.
I hasten to add, she was really laying into her horse with that whip. I removed the whip from her hand, she confronted me and I took aim.

In year 9 my Chemistry teacher refused to teach me because I wasn't keeping up with the rest of the class. Someone came up to me later that day and I heard them say "You must feel really dumb" so I pushed his head really hard into a wall. Turns out he was actually saying "You must be having a bad day". :\ God knows how I mixed those two up.
(and yeah, hate to make you feel a bit ganged up on here, but you should know how to cook a few things and respect your ma a bit more) |

I wouldn't worry that your mother was depressed mock, she was most likely just tired. If that happens again maybe just have a sandwich to take the edge off your hunger?
You could even make her one and a cup of tea if she seems too tired to make food or eat herself. It feels good to look after those who look after us sometimes. I pushed my daughter when she was 15, she pushed me back though but I felt terrible.

Thanks for the comments guys, it's just the fact that it had happened repeatedly recently and she likes me to wake her up that then gets annoying when she doesn't listen.
I don't know if she's depressed or not, but she definitely has taken an infatuation with Twitter lately.

Stop being lazy and make your own dinner, you're probably more than capable of doing so
I've never been aggressive ever, even in my childhood, I've always been a good boy

At times like that it can happen people let off steam and more often than not, it will be against the person or people we know we can get away with it with too. The ones nearest and dearest. Such as your Mum or really close friend. I love Kizzy's and Cherie's responses to you above. I rarely get aggressive myself to the point I act on it,although I will get forceful at times to make a point I really believe. I guess I learned to sidestep anger and aggression simply because from seeing it in others, I felt it seemed a waste of energy on all sides and then the need to sort things out afterwards. You know where I am my friend and don't think bad of yourself, we all, I think anyway, have times where we can find we act outside of our real character. Yeah I think it's pretty stupid you giving your mum a hard time just because you don't know how to cook.
