Isn't this just the most annoying thing? They always managed to leave it until about 12 hours before to cancel. Like has a close relative died? No they haven't, so turn up trash.

It always puts me off making plans with them again, too. Such a deal-breaker.

I hate it, one of my friends used to be really bad for it, she would blow off her friends and say she was ill or grounded and then somebody would say they saw her with her boyfriend and it always annoyed me, if she had been honest I'd be fine but flat out lying and using us as decoys made me proper angry.

I'm usually secretly happy if someone cancels plans, the effort to get ready to go out lol tbf though my friends very rarely cancel plans especially for no good reason

It does bother me if it's last minute or a regular thing. With my friends though I'd just have it out with them and tell them off lol

One time when I was about 13 me and two friends arranged to see Without a Paddle. I thought they were running late so me being the super nice guy I am I bought the tickets and popcorn/drinks which cost about 2 months worth of pocket money altogether and I got a text 5 minutes before it started saying "We're gonna go at a different time."

So I'm not sure what was worse, the fact I was in a cinema by myself with an obscene amount of popcorn, the fact sketty kids were throwing popcorn at me for most of the movie or the fact I spent two months worth of pocket money to watch Without a ****ing Paddle.

Something similar happened to me when I was about 8 was going on a picnic with two friends who were sisters, we were all to bring something to the picnic and had agreed items, they turned up with nothing, saying they didn't have time to get their items, and I felt so foolish as they ate the chocolate I had bought which I had gone to great lengths to get as we lived in the country and my Mum didn't drive, it taught me a great life lesson though, that said at least they turned up
