Default Okay, but can you blame Tiff for thinking that?

Angie comes in in a flurry of tears, David is already sick, she just says David, not David Bowie.

Obviously Tiff and Bowie weren't on a first name basis.

Of course, it took place during a moment of grief, which made things get jumbled up, but it's so effing rude of the house to turn on Tiff for misunderstanding because, chances are, they would've thought the same thing.

They didn't turn on her for that, did they? That happened after she flipped out later.

Only Angie & Tiffany knew what went on. The likes on Danniella & John got really angry but was not even there.
I think Tiffany was in the wrong for saying Angie said Gest & not Ex-Husband & for not hearing others trying to tell her what was going on.
It was a mess from start to finish.

Agree...the whole scenario between Angie and Tiff was totally understandable on both sides and the two of them eventually hugged it out and saw it as it was.
John Daniella and Kristina...maybe now they should apologise...but they won't because Pack mentality has set in.

It was a complete (hilarious) misunderstanding on both of their parts

The misunderstanding was innocent but Tiff was an idiot for reacting how she did when everything was explained to her. John's to blame for everything else though.

Tiffany did make a comment that she saw in her contract there was clause regarding no outside contact so when Angie said David had died her assumption was quite understandable.

Lots of them said they didn't feel safe/didn't want to be there with her before she even 'flipped out'/refused to apologize.

The whole thing between Angie/Tiffany was a complete misunderstanding and neither are to 'blame'. Although Tiffany is to blame for the OTT way she acted afterwards, but I don't hold it against her that much since her and Angie have apologized to each other.

Angie didnt say David Gest like Tiffany was claiming. she just made an assumption. at least Christopher had the common sense to ask "David, David" as in Gest. Angie made a mistake by not saying Bowie but ****ing hell Tiffany acting like a loon and overreacted big time. at least they worked it out between themselves and admitted their mistake and made amends later though.

..I think that it took her time to absorb as well because it was a house full of confusion...I mean, Angie's reactions were delayed also..her initial reaction..(or so was shown..)..was that David was a part of her past/she hadn't spoken to him for so long etc, so she'd stay...the realisation/her grief etc didn't come out straight away..and ok, maybe not the same thing and exactly comparable but Tiff for a period of time...(not sure f the timeline of the edit..) had genuinely thought that one of her fellow housemates had died...I personally think that her understanding would have come much ore quickly and with that, her condolences to Angie, if she had not seen a whole house around Angie in comfort and herself feeling isolated...(not only isolated but being cast out as an evil person..)...for something she had genuinely misunderstood and had done nothing wrong in assuming it was David Guest and her shock/reactions to that...

David Bowie hasn't been in the cultural zeitgeist for a very long time. There is a david in the house. if someone just said, name a famous David i probably would have said letterman. I honestly think Tiffany(new york) was being genuine in her reaction.

I thought it was odd that Angie still assumes whenever she said "david" everyone thinks Bowie.

..well there again he's the biggest David in her life/Angie's and with the shock news I think she would just have spoken like she was speaking to people around her at the time in the outside world, who would have immediately thought David Bowie..?..so just a genuine misunderstanding and not having any thought of their being another David in the house at that moment she told Tiffany...

Imagine if Tiffany had a different reaction, she thought david guest was dead, and then she offered to help Angie bury the body...

It really was like Angie told Tiffany that she had killed David "don't tell anyone!! please!"

could someone get away with murder in the Big Brother house? (definitely not if you told tiffany)

First: Thank you Angie and Tiffany (and some of the others) for the most gut-achingly hilarious incident in CBB history.

This series was advertised as having a Vaudevillian theme which has not until now been the case, but, oh brother, was it worth waiting for - a comic farce worthy of the great Ben Travers. I was crying with laughter, and it could not have played out better had it all been scripted. And here's how the Fates combined to bring us TV Gold:

1. One of the Golden Rules of BB, is that ALL HM's shall be totally
isolated from outside news and events.

2. Despite the above, Dotty dodderer Angie - that living breathing
shambolic testament to the long term adverse effects of an
excessive lifestyle - has been secretly informed by BB that her
ex-husband David Bowie had died.

3. Despite his legendary staus, David Bowie has been passe
for a long time and his illness was not general public knowledge
prior to the HM's entering.

4. David Gest had been looking increasingly ill and finally had been
ordered to bed to rest, where he completely covered himself up
under the blanket - shroud-like - from head to toe and was laid
-- corpse-like -- motionless and deeply asleep.

5. Tiffany - an American, and therefore probably possessed of a
deeper bond to fellow American David Gest - was told out-of-the-
blue by Angie, simply that; "David is dead" and understandably
assumed that Angie was referring to David Gest.

6. After ascertaining that Angie was not joking (or carrying out a
'secret task') Tiffany was - understandably - in a state of shock
and was therefore less capable of 'rational' thought than normal.

7. What compounded the misunderstanding was when Tiffany asked
Angie "When did this happen?" and she replied "Just now".

The frenetic farce which followed was gloriously funny and worthy of Ben Travers, The Three stooges and The Marx Brothers:

"She told me David's dead"

Stampede by the idiots to David Gests bed where they find him shrouded and motionless.

Cue David Essex from 'Evita':

"Oh what a circus, oh what a show.
The House Mates have gone to town
Over the death of a David - Bowie or Gest
They don't really care, as long as they can impress,
Mourning all day and mourning all night
Falling over ourselves to get all - of the misery right"

Thank you, thank you, thank you Angie and Tiff
(And David G for playing the part of a stiff)

This transformed a mundane borefest into TV Gold.

Tiff was politely asked by Angie to not tell anyone. She then proceeds to go berserk screaming and shouting. She was out of control and wouldn't have been so confused if she had done as Angie had asked. On such a serious issue, IE somebodies death, she really should have sought clarification.

Tiff took far too long to realize she needed to apologize for her mistake.
