My teapots is in storage because we had been living here for 6 months and never used it. I guess it still counts as owning one though

I do, but everytime I make a pot, I only get one cup anyways... The whole house drinks from the pot

Plus, the teapot keeps it warm for that second cup, regardless

But a cup has a wide open mouth and all that heat spills out into the air

My teapot has a lid

I like my drinks hot but not scalding, lowering the temperature a little has its benefits in that case.

I like to use a teapot and here in Denmark they have a ceramic stand where you can have a tealight underneath the pot to keep the tea warm. I also have a mug with a lid which also helps to keep the tea hot.

I like the idea of using one but it's rather impractical

My whole family drinks tea, so we have two tea pots,
the better of the two is metal, which keeps the tea hot for a really long time
(unless you leave it sitting for a day)
I'm usually selfish though, making tea only for myself,
continuously going back to the kitchen to make more, because one cup is never enough.

I always use a '2 cup' teapot at home and always have my tea in cafes in a '2 cup' teapot with seperate pot of boiling water and seperate milk jug so that I can 'mix' my tea to just the precise strength.

I detest being served with weak, too milky tea, and tea which has had the milk added first ugh.

Why not just make three cups straight from the kettle?

I said more than three cups for two reasons, it saves you using loads of tea bags and it's easier than making all individual ones
