I hate this part of this show ad is why I rarely watch it all.

No need for it at all, pretty sick it is to me.

I do not feel very comfortable with this part of the show and I wish they would stop it.
The whole show is about eating insects and animals so be fair Saturn . I think it was stupid how the scorpions was still alive though it bit carol yes because it was defending itself and they are viscous they removed it's sting otherwise that would of injured Carol seriously or even caused death .

But i think the scorpions should of already been dead and before you complain about that the whole show is about eating animal bits and dead creatures so why did the scorpion have to be alive in this case i think Carol would of nailed that part of the eating trial if the Scorpion was already dead or didn't bite her Just didn't make sense it still being alive .

Big difference between squatting a fly that's bothering you and going out of your way to find creature in order to your rip their heads off for entertainment. it was just gross imo.

I mean.. Would you be upset if she ate a KFC? When it comes down to it, how much difference is there between her killing her lunch on TV and a farmer killer her lunch in a dodgy shed.
Considering that most Brits have probably eaten 3 or 4 different animals since her time in the jungle, considering that the bug isnt at the top of its food chain anyway, considering the size of it - it probably had a fortnight left to live at most, and considering that humans eating animals and animals eating animals is incredibly well documented both historically and on this specific franchise.. I cant imagine many people share your concerns.

(I dont even like the show very much when Lady C isnt in it, I'm just trying to give you an objective answer)

With that type of logic we should be happy to also kill humans who piss us off or drive too close to us in cars when the speed limit is being adhered too. We breed animals to eat and live that is not the same as taking an insect and killing it for a giggle so that ITV can make a whole lot of money from Aunt Bessie Grannies.

Not really, since that would be illegal and killing an insect isn't yet

Debated about this at uni at which level is ok to kill a creature and whether it's fine because they're pests, which I guess scorpions fall into?

How did you define "Pest" and who decided what a pest is or is not??

Something that bothers humans but that's a whole other debate in itself

Nobody eats humans, why are you acting as if you genuinely believe bugs are comparable to the life of a human. You must have emotional breakdowns every time you walk into Morrisons.

Why do you think that a humans life is more important? There are many insects that have been on the earth for hundreds of times longer than humans and in that long time they have not damaged the earth. Surely this would and should mean they are more important?

The horseshoe crab and its relatives have been around for at least 450 million years and humans just 0.1 million.

Each human is born, capable of making great technological and medical advances which may aide the health of every species on earth. They are the most advanced species on Earth and they are at the top of the food chain. Insects crawl around and mate for a fortnight and then they die, they are not at the top of the food chain and they are not going extinct. (There would be different answers in the thread if they were at the top of the food chain or if they were endangered)

Next time we get the flu, we'll go to the Doctors together. My Doctor will be a person who has trained for 8 years, you can be treated by your team of favourite ladybugs.

They also kill for fun and for land and power and most of them cannot feed themselves. Its not a great thing a human.
