Thoughts:

- I thought the premiere was quite good, and it's set the season up to be quite enjoyable (but who knows what will happen)
- The Sandra and Tony Show (cause that's what the episode was, especially the latter-half) was great, considering I like both players
- Sierra getting the legacy advantage was but I'm not a fan of her taste in allies
- I like that Sandra has seemingly taken Hali under wing as the new Christa/Courtney
- The Sandra/Hali/Michaela/Varner/Troyzan alliance is definitely something I can champion
- I appreciated that most of Nuku's moments were vocalized by Cirie, as I thought she would be UTR for some bizarre reason
- Debbie not being a fool to Cirie's gameplay
- Ciera being the first boot was no loss at all
- Mana's complete failure at trying to untie and carry the snake, and Varner just being a useless turd throughout the whole thing
- idk if I'm here for Tai and the Chickens again, but I still like his presence on this season
- The ending of the second tribal council was literally glorious

There must be other things I'm forgetting, but I'll probably watch it again at some point. I'm travelling to London today so I might watch on the journey

I've watched seasons 1-8 and 28-33, do you think I should just go ahead and watch this or is it better to wait and catch up with more?

I watched Cambodia when it aired but most of the cast had been from seasons I'd seen

All in all, a fine premiere? Obviously the first half was rushed, but for the absolute joke this season will surely be, I enjoyed it. Knowing most of the boot spoilers for the first time might or might not help, we'll see...

-At least the ridiculously specific "13 or 6" thing on Sierra's advantage (JBL hew?) puts the rumours of a 14-person merge to bed
-Tony's entire plan of action being to lie down and cover himself in leaves
-Caleb falling over was the best (/only good) thing he did this episode, mainly because he's clearly copying Sandra's strategy of going arse over tit in HvV
-Somebody tell Ciera that starting a list entitled "winners I've played with" with Tyson doesn't really count
-Debbie enthusiastically yelling "yes it will!" immediately before her teammates' puzzle fails to fit is why I love her
-Aubry's confessional where she randomly had a shawl wrapped around her Other than that she was pretty basic and I have concluded I am now #TeamWinchele
-I see Malcolm's still got that Hugh-Laurie-plays-a-surfer-dude thing going on
-If we appreciate nothing else that production do this season, can we at least appreciate the lighthouse?
-"Michaela voted for Ciera and said that honest people don’t play with stinky people" <333
-"I wear glasses now, don't throw anything at me" same tbh
-Sandra and Troyzan clearly not conferring over which lie they were going to sell Tony, and just ending up at "er... we were talking about the tides? Or the crates? Or something?"
-Do we really need another season of chickens? Yes I'm looking at you, Tai (and also kind of JT) (I'll admit, I found Tai trying and spectacularly failing to worm his way out of his conversation with Cirie without raising suspicion pretty amusing. Never change <3)
-Nobody tell Debbie that there isn't a "Shirie" on the island, okay?
-Wow even the bugs are out to get Sandra
-"Say hi to Ciera for me" I was sick to the back teeth of the whole "look, nobody's bitter, how wonderful!" thing in MvGX so to see people arguing even after the vote-off this early on is glorious
-I was trying to work out who was invisible this episode, considering the edit seemed to be quite fairly-balanced... hi there Andrea!
-I miss Natalie Anderson

Ciera sucked and Tony is hella overrated and I'm all for him being dragged and culled in the same episode. So good job x

okay so I wasn't sure whether to watch this season considering I never did get round to watching anymore of the ones on my list, but figured if I don't it'll end up spoiled anyway

I thought it was a great start! Am loving Michaela again already ****ing screaming @ the scene of Tony scrambling around on the floor I'm so so disappointed that he and Sandra didn't end up working together, we have been robbed of him far too early </3

I think this season has a lot of potential so long as all the big names don't follow one another in being voted off to leave us with the fodder. We'll see

But from my perspective, I didn’t remember her. But, she came in and she knew what to do with everything. She knew what to do with the fire, she knew how to do the food, she knew the best strategy for the game. Everything. But, at the time I was thinking, “You know we’ve all done this before, right?” It rubbed me the wrong way out there, but out of the game I have no hard feelings

I'm excited to see how this season goes, no idea who the blonde woman (not Sierra) is though

Zeke is an irrelevance which is good

I didn't know Ozzy, Troyzan, Malcolm, JT, Blonde Woman or Cirie before this season and none of them have impressed me (except Cirie) so I'm not too bothered

Ciera is such a flop I screamed at her going in and starting alliances before they had even sat down their things
