Default Jedward think they're a big deal

Yeah sure everyone in the UK knows their name, but they're always saying they have 3 no.1 albums, yeah they do...in Ireland charts! Its hardly 3 uk no.1s

Theyre always commenting on other peoples fame, saying stacey is unknown and austin and james jordan are nobodies. But since 2011 do people even hear about Jedward?

They also get offended when people say they're talentless singers, I feel like they genuinely think they're a huge deal musically.

They should be proud and own up to the fact that yeah they were a huge deal as TV PERSONALITIES 6 years ago, but now they are nobodies.

I genuinely feel bad for them because I feel like they don't realise the reality of it.

Unfortunately, this is very true. With the exception of James C, Spiedi and Ray J, they are all virtually unknown in North America...except maybe to die hard BB fans who go and search it out on the internet. (BBUK and CBB are not shown here).

Maybe they are referring to the UK and Ireland only?

I loved Jedward in the first CBB they were in. They were fresh and new to me. Unfortunately, they are trying to do the exact same things as last time and it just falls flat. It's like watching the same comedy act over and over again. It's hilarious the first few times you see it, but after a while it's just gets boring and even stupid. They need new material.

Jedward are more famous in the UK than most of the people in the house, many of whom most Brits would never have heard of. It's not a case of them being liked or popular - if you ask the average person in the street most would be aware of Jedward to one degree or another, from the rest of the house maybe Coleen Nolan would be known to a similar degree but after that I don't think any are household names.

The US is pretty irrelevant to UK BB and they should stop filling the house with American "nobodies" considering the target audience!

They have had 3 number one albums. They never said in the UK or anywhere else.
How does that transpire into them thinking they are a big deal.
They have had chart singles and albums in the UK.
Plus hit records across Europe.

What on earth is wrong with being proud of any success they have had.

I think the people looking for any daft thing to get at them for,are more likely the ones with issues not Jedward themselves.

They are literally, for me, about as big a deal as it gets when it comes to celebrities.

They were boo'd and jeered at from Day 1 on the X Factor (whilst also being voted through to the next round BY the public) . I think they already know that they have both fans, and those who don't "get" them.

[Edited to add] They also had Simon Cowell very vocally mocking them and telling them how bad they were every single week.

All true,fair and balanced.
Well said TS,yet again.

I get some people don't t 'get' how they act,why they then give so much seemingly endless attention to all they say and do, is to me confusing.at the very least.

TV stars too, Jedwards Big Adventure was very popular in the UK.
Aimed mainly at a young audience but watched by all ages.
There were I believe 3 series of that made.

They're not famous for their music, they're famous for being morons (at least everywhere outside of Ireland). I bet 99% of the public couldn't name 5 of their songs.

Jedward in my opinion are just a "specimen". They're a bit like Kim Kardashian. No-one knows what she does or how she got there but she's just part of culture.

I'd bet the same for many of the so called big names now as to that.

In Europe it is music they are known for since being in the Eurovision song contest twice.

I'm not sure if I'd call the Eurovision song contest music.

More like the annual piss on Russia contest with sinister European notions of art

They have been on many chat shows too,Jonathan Ross etc.

They also had a fly on the wall documentary series only about them and their life.

They have been in demand for TV since X Factor for the next 5 years at least.
I do not believe they are in decline. I still can see some show coming, like Ant and Dec did earlier in their career, opening another avenue for them.

In fact I am pretty sure it will happen and Tara Reid will do her very best to open.up more movie work too.

Infamous for making total tits of themselves, but the old people (captive audience who can't leave the room) LOVE them
