Default Man who stabbed girlfriend 75 times in car park sentnced to 25 years

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...cid=spartanntp

My gut was 'is that all'. He might be out in his fifties. She's never getting out of that car. At the very least it should have been a year for every stab wound.

Just the fact that he can get released at all ever, is wrong

This was pre meditated as well, its not as if he just went crazy ... he was stalking her in the Gym and she texted her Mum to say he was there and then he stabbed her when she left

There's good old British justice for you, not much thought for the victim or family, it's a joke, he should be jailed for life.

Just watching this on the news now and the CCTV of him standing in the car park with the poor girls blood all over him.

Incredibly sad and in all honesty it makes you think about meeting people, I am on tinder and have been on a few dates and frankly it's scary this has happened.

She dated him for 7 months too so you just don't know about people sometimes.

But don't let that put you off dating, many people meet perfectly nice partners, it's only the odd few crazies.

When you go meet for the first few times just be safe in a public place and get a pick up from someone you know if you can.

Stabbing 75 times is not the action of someone of sound mind. He should surely be in a secure hospital

Sadly nothing new.

A good topic for serious debates, the justic system, past, present, future, opinions, ideas, do we need zero tolerance?

If someone wants to make that thread.

well I dont think any sentence would have stopped him as it were not even death but then death is not for him its for the victims family who would know he is dead and not in prison wanking over the stabbing as he watches sky sports and has a cuppa

Horrible story. If there's any cold comfort for her family it's that it sounds like she died very quickly, he slashed her neck and she would have passed out almost instantly. The really horrifying thing there, though, is that if she had 75 different stab wounds, that sort of implies that he carried on stabbing long after she was dead. What has to be going on in a person's head for that to happen? I mean obviously, to kill at all, but just to continue hacking away afterwards.

It's a really strange case in that the attack itself does sound out of control / frenzied - but then, he calmly went out and bought a variety of weapons on the day, tracked her down, and exercised next to her before carrying out the killing in the car park. Which totally goes against the idea that it was a frenzied / emotionally driven or unplanned attack.

I'd almost be attempted to assume that he coldly executed her by cutting her throat and then deliberately carried out the "frenzied stabbing" to make it LOOK like he was out of control when he wasn't.

We are on the same page re the frenzied stabbing, thankfully it appears he didn’t fool any of the jury either.

That's even more chilling. The guy should never be out on the street again, whether he be in prison or an institute I don't really care, he's clearly a danger to everyone around him

Yes, in cases like this, where there is absolutely no doubt of his guilt, we should bring back the black hat.

Did you see the footage of him on the stairs at the Gym where he went up half way then turned as if he was going to leave, then changed his mind and turned

The justice system in this country is a joke unfortunately. Sentences for those who commit violence or murder are ridiculously short, and ironically life rarely means life.

Did anyone see the Trevor Macdonald documentary - Death Row 2018 - earlier in the week? It really highlighted the differences in sentences for murder between America and Britain. America seems to judge murder much more seriously and if life sentences are given they do actually mean life. I'm not saying I support death sentences- that's another topic altogether- but I did feel frustrated with British justice whilst watching this documentary.
