I waver on this a lot. I obviously know having a tattoo would not impact on how you work and your attitude to work.
If someone had an obvious tattoo I'd ask them to cover it up like they do in airlines e.g. wearing a watch (if on wrist), wearing plasters, long shirts etc... If they had it on their face I would not hire them. Last edited by Underscore; 22-11-2018 at 04:48 PM. |

Why obviously
Tattoos can look scruffy especially when you're trying to make your company look posh |

Could you imagine Selfridges employing someone with their face and neck full of tattoos?

Don't see why not when it has no impact on their job performance. Think most employers would find recruiting good people hard enough without ruling someone out purely on the basis of a tattoo, I really doubt any customers are going to be that put out by it if the person provides great service

Yes, they don’t hinder someone’s ability to work so why not? Employers seem to be a lot more snotty about things like that than they assume the general public will be, ive never heard of anyone be offended by a persons tattoos in a workplace, it’s a ridiculous notion imo
