So I was watching friends before and one of the characters said a movie (can't remember the title) changed her life so I was wondering if any TV shows or movies have changed your life?

Definitely Big Brother US
I was slightly into RTV before it, like I watched a bit of Jersey Shore when it was around, I had watched some of Tila Tequila's A Shot At Love after hearing about it from like middle school girls in my grade ![]() Now I watch BBCAN, CBBUK (and civilian a bit), Survivor, just started The Challenge, and I'd give most other RTV shows a chance

Pulp Fiction changed my life in a good way, it made me look outside of the box when it comes to movies and was the trigger for me being a Tarantino megafan, appreciating good, well-written dialogue and what not over the usual stuff.
Dazed and Confused too really kick-started a love of 60's/70's Americana and American muscle cars for me, an interest that is still prominent in me after first watching that movie. Also, I remember watching "Taxi Driver" for the first time and it absolutely blowing my mind. I'd never seen anything like it before but there's a reason why it's one of the best movies of all time. SO dark and probably the best character study on film ever in the form of DeNiro's Travis Bickle. Up until that point I'd never shown interest in cinema of that type but that soon changed. yeah in terms of tv, i've got to say drag race.
it's completely revolutionised my conceptions of gender as well as my perception of myself. it's also really made me embrace gay culture/history so much more than i would have before. Last edited by TomC; 14-03-2019 at 11:24 PM. |
