Mind you - I suppose boring and unassuming is what’s wanted/needed for a monarch so.
William and Kate are very well suited to their future roles as King and Queen.
Thank goodness Harry was never the heir, what a disaster that would have been, truly the end of the monarchy. It’s all very well being entertained by their attention seeking, their lies, their money grabbing, their hypocrisy and their perpetual whining, but that’s what they are worth now - soap opera entertainment.
What a comedown from being high ranking members of the Monarchy. Their departure has been an unmitigated disaster so far.

No they haven’t. The high end weddings that have attracted billions of viewers worldwide have. The work they do for charity has. The Monarchy has always been a staple of Britain. It will always be culturally relevant.

And to ask you your own question, what is it about Queen Liz that has made the royal family so ‘interesting’?

The world is not solely interested in Queen Elizabeth herself, they are interested in the monarchy system, which would have been abolished in their countries centuries. ago, and the fabulous architecture , such as Buckingham, that accompanies it.

Not to mention the fact the monarch rules over the likes of Australia and Canada, with close links to India and the Caribbean.

Your post comparing two women and which one is more elegant and laughing at the other, suggesting that they look like they're taking a sh*t in public, is misogynistic. Yes. People really struggle with this don't they?

"The monarch" doesn't rule over anything at all, not even England, in any way, let alone the other commonwealth/ex-empire nations. We have a symbolic monarchy, not an active one. You do understand that, right? The UK is ruled by a gaggle of Eton toffs headed up by a scraggy-haired snake oil salesman, The Queen has absolutely no real power of any kind (other than being an exceptionally wealthy lady; but the Royals don't even leverage that power the way other wealthy people do).

Y tho.

Some people do look more elegant than others, and some stances do make people look like they're crapping. Comparing these attributes between two women doesn't imply misogyny.

Queenie must be losing it ..

The Royals were in a right state before all the Randy Andy stuff and this will tip them over the edge ..

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t despise Charlie’s mistress

Charles and Camilla as King and Queen won’t make the impact that William and Kate would if the Royal family is going to remain an institution…

I’d rather Charles and her just disappeared out of sight ... I’m truly amazed that she has the audacity to even show her face in public

It seems public perception has changed, many more people now divorce and find their soulmate second time round ....people are just not that bothered by it any more ...it all happened 30 plus years ago, people have more to worry about than Camilla being Queen

I adored Diana, and the sad thing is she and Charles were just not suited at all. Neither of them were saints. It was around 5 years after their marriage before Charles resumed his affair with Camilla, although maintaining his friendship with her during those years drove Diana wildly jealous as she knew his heart really belonged to Camilla. By that time Diana was having affairs of her own.
Long after the divorce Diana said Charles was a good man and one of the kindest men she had ever known.

The Crown (written by an anti - monarchist) is mainly fiction but many people believe its way OTT portrayal of Diana, Charles and Camilla is the truth. It really isn’t.
Camilla has come a long way from getting rotten eggs thrown at her in the street and having to hide indoors for months. She has quietly worked at her many charities and has devoted herself to supporting Charles and the Queen all these years. I never thought I’d say this, because I loved Diana, but she has earned the respect she now has from many in the public and the Queen. Fair play to her.

Totally agree....like I said earlier, I hated what they did to Diana but its clear they were always meant to be. Charles and Camilla are clearly suited and happy together. She has kept a low profile and I have grown to like her and respect her for that.
